We were able to book and stay in the Mirambeena house over the long weekend and the booking process was fine. The house had a bbq and when we arrived at the house we stored all of our meats for grilling, as well as other foods in the fridge. The light was on inside the fridge and it was turned on, so we had no reason to know it was not working. When we woke up the next morning, all of the food in the fridge was warm and the milk we had bought was sour. We had to throw out the milk and all the perishables. When I called up the emergency number the next day, the Blue Mountains Escapes emergency contact person was very rude. He blamed us for not calling earlier (the emergency number was not clearly written on the notices in the house and it was too late anyway as our food was spoiled by then). Then he admitted that he knew the fridge was not working and the owner had informed him that he put a small bar fridge in until the fridge was fixed, but we had not been told this. But rather than apologising, he kept blaming us and telling us that the food wouldn't go off so quickly. When we returned, we were told that they would investigate what had happened and I also sent in a complaint via their system. But they never investigated the issue, apologised, or made any attempt to compensate us for the problem that they caused. We've stayed in rentals across the world and have never had such bad...

The property has a lovely view. If you are only after great views go ahead with this house. If WiFi is one of the important factors for you reconsider. WiFi may not work. You cannot even dispute as the T&C has line saying WiFi may not work due to the location.
Everywhere in the house is very dusty. We even had an empty rum bottle and tooth pick underneath of the bed. Obviously the house was not cleaned properly before we arrived.
Blue mountains escape is very responsive however not in customer's side. Very useless. Even though it is very obvious they didn't inspect the house before we checked in (unless their standard of cleanliness is having empty bottle of rum under the bed with a tooth pick and dust everywhere in the house) they didn't admit. They said apparently WiFi model worked perfectly fine when they inspected the house in the morning (we arrived the house 2.30 pm) so within around 4-5 hours it just stopped working (modem itself didn't turn on. No power at all).
If they admitted their fault and sent us sincere apologies I wouldn't have left...
Read moreWas drilled for questions before I had even started my stay as to why someone else was paying which was ok except for the fact it was none of their business....then halfway through my stay I had the owner and rental people demand they be allowed into the property because the owner forgot a library book days before Xmas while I waited around like I had done something wrong they inspected the premises to the point where my four year old daughter feelt that way she asked what I had done wrong!!!! I was luvered to say less and tbh I am the kind of person who makes hotel beds and cleans before the cleaners come in the morning they must have been shocked to find the place better than they had left it for me!!! The real estate agent even actually apologized for the owners insane behaviors....other than the manic crazy intrusion ....keylockbox was impossible house poorly maintained before our arrival no dishwashing liquid and too many personal items left cluttering around the place...
