I spent two weeks here between late February and early March, and my stay was exceptional on every level. Meriton Suites consistently provide everything a short- or long-stay traveller needs, including a small kitchen, full-sized fridge, washing machine, and dryer. Having stayed at another Meriton location before, I knew what to expect, and this experience met those high standards.
The location was another highlight. Situated directly across the road from a large shopping complex (Macquarie Centre), I had easy access to everything I needed—whether it was groceries or a last-minute takeaway craving. With just a quick walk across the road and convenient elevator access, every necessity was within reach.
What truly set this particular Meriton location apart, however, was the outstanding staff. A special mention goes to Paolo and Lisa—two incredible individuals who made every interaction an absolute pleasure. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was seamless, comfortable, and genuinely enjoyable.
Just as Cyclone Alfred was bearing down on my home city, I found myself needing to extend my stay due to cancelled flights and mounting uncertainty. Paolo and Lisa handled everything with professionalism and care, ensuring I could remain in my room with ease and flexibility. Their kindness and efficiency were invaluable during a stressful time, and they are a true credit to the Meriton brand.

However, the rooms could do with more attention to detail when cleaning. From first impression it seemed clean... but after spending a few minutes longer and looking around I started to notice things.
Not sure if the cleaner just didn't realise or care, but there were multiple dirty areas in the room. The TV cabinet has a layer of dust, the towels were stained with makeup, the back of the red sofa cushion has white crusty stains (I was going to use it but quickly changed my mind) and the bed sheet has a few stains on it. Honestly I didn't take pictures of these as it didn't bother me enough to document everything, I sort of avoided the dirty spots and turned the towels around to the clean sides and hoped for the best.
It was the dental floss in the corner of the shower that really grossed me out. Hence the 3 stars. Also had mould in areas which should be cleaned thoroughly (See pictures). I think these two things are deterrents for me booking here again.

Read moreBooked 8 nights only to be treated like I owe them something... reception name shen is very rude and unprofessional I'm not sure how he was hired or maybe meriton don't really care about customer service. After checking in went shopping to macquarie shopping centre on the way back realised I didn't buy shaving kit. Reception was busy dealing with other customer so I was wondering around reception having a look around then reception named shen calls me like I'm a bum from somewhere says "you alright mate?, Seat over there on the couch and wait." I was very disrespected 😤. I'm a paying customer... waited to be served with anger I told the reception shen I need shaving kit. He looks at me like I'm not a customer and didn't want to give me the shaving kit. Asks me for room number I'm staying told him the number. Only to be told go to your room and ask from phone service which rings back to reception... which I did and shen purposely didn't answer the phone 3 times and gets someone else to answer because he knew I would tell this shen kid off.. very rude and very bad service. I wouldn't book here again or any other meriton thanks to shen. Hope meriton realises what's going on with there employees and their services.
NOTE: I've stayed cbd meriton Brisbane meriton Melbourne meriton but this meriton service was the worst.. maybe I should go back to staying in Hyatt or Hilton... maybe even pullman standard is...
