Their name "Zeus Street Greek" accurately describes what they serve - quick, simple, tasty Greek food in a casual setting - instead of more elaborate restaurant fare. If this is your expectation, it matters not whether their offerings look exactly like what you would find on Greek streets. The menu has a variety of pita wraps, bowls and plates with various chargrilled meats, salads and dips, including vegetarian and vegan options. On a recent visit, I had a spartan bowl of chargrilled lamb with a refreshing green bean salad that's a nice balance to the rich lamb, and pita bread. I found the adequately sized meal tasty and satisfying. On previous occasions, I have tried the chargrilled chicken spartan bowl, and a few different pita wraps, and found them just as nice. Service is simple, quick and friendly - order and pay at the counter, and your food comes reasonably quickly, depending on how busy it is at the time, as they manage eat-in and takeaway customers, and a steady stream of delivery riders picking up orders. Atmosphere is relaxed but lively, with upbeat background music that's not too loud or annoying. It's a place for a nice quick meal or takeaway that's reasonably priced.

Being thrust into the lives of a Greek family, the mere question of going to get a gyros is often met with elitist opinions. “This place does the best gyros,” “no, that place is bad, go to this other place!” And it can be quite contentious. So deciding to go to Zeus Street Greek was admittedly a bit of a lark met with amusement. But I’m happy to say, my partner and I came out with quite an unexpected positive experience. We both had a Tzimmy Classic each, and they were quite filling on their own. The meat was well cooked, the vegetables tasted fresh and the pita bread? Well, that was considered the star of the dish. Doughy, warm and fresh, it really was what tied it all together so well. Don’t let preconceived notions get the best of you, when deciding where to eat. You might be left pleasantly surprised.

My experience was deeply concerning. I ordered a chicken bowl, and upon eating, discovered the chicken was raw. When I brought this to the attention of the kitchen staff, they proceeded to place my half-eaten, contaminated chicken onto the cooktop. This is a severe food safety violation. Reusing a cooktop that touched raw chicken poses a significant risk of cross-contamination for future customers. I'm fortunate I didn't experience any immediate illness, but this incident completely ruined my appetite and trust in this establishment's hygiene practices. The lack of basic food handling knowledge displayed by the staff is unacceptable. I strongly advise others to be cautious when ordering from here.

If you're craving authentic Greek cuisine, Zeus Greek Food is the place to be. Nestled in a cozy corner of the city, this restaurant offers a delightful culinary journey through Greece.

Ambiance: 5/5 The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The decor is charmingly Mediterranean, with blue and white accents reminiscent of the Greek islands. The soft lighting and traditional music in the background create a relaxing environment perfect for any occasion.

Service: 5/5 The service at Zeus Greek Food is exceptional. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being intrusive. They are more than willing to offer recommendations and ensure you have a pleasant dining experience.

Food: 5/5 The food is the highlight of Zeus Greek Food. The menu is extensive, featuring a variety of traditional Greek dishes prepared with fresh ingredients. The moussaka is rich and flavorful, with layers of perfectly cooked eggplant and seasoned meat. The souvlaki is tender and juicy, served with a side of fluffy pita and tangy tzatziki. The seafood dishes, particularly the grilled octopus, are a must-try, offering a perfect balance of flavors.

For appetizers, the spanakopita and dolmades are delicious starters that set the tone for the meal. The Greek salad is fresh and vibrant, with a generous amount of feta cheese. For dessert, the baklava is a sweet, nutty treat that rounds off the meal beautifully.

Value: 5/5 While the prices are slightly higher than average, the quality and portion sizes justify the cost. It's a great place for a special night out or to celebrate an occasion.

Overall: 5/5 Zeus Greek Food is a gem for anyone who appreciates authentic Greek cuisine. With its inviting ambiance, outstanding service, and mouth-watering dishes, it's a restaurant that promises and delivers a memorable dining experience. Whether you're a fan of Greek food or a first-timer, Zeus Greek Food will leave you wanting to come...

I don’t know what it is with me and Zeus Street Greek, but every time I visit this chain something’s a bit off.

I ordered a Zeus pita combo from Macquarie Centre shop. The wrap came extremely fast, the meat must have been precooked a while ago, but I feel there wasn’t that much fillings for the price. The meat was cooked to medium, which I didn’t mind, but didn’t really have chargrilled taste to it, which was a slight disappointment. It was still ok and juicy, much better than what I’ve gotten from another Zeus before (which was unedible).

However, when I had ordered a combo and only got a wrap, I told the staff and they brought my drink and told the chips will come later. After waiting for over 10 minutes and seeing other customers getting their chips, I went to ask for them again from a different person. The staff member looked at my receipt, then looked at my table as if I’m trying to pull a fast one, and said it’ll come soon.

The chips sure came soon, and I got an apology for the wait. I just don’t feel like I should have to go ask for them not once but twice, that would be worth another apology.

Overall, giving 3 stars for the slightly above average pita wrap and subpar service. I would expect better for their...
