Just had a "Loft Big Breakfast" delivered. Sadly it was a VERY 'SMALL breakfast'!! The eggs (fried) must've been 350gram size (well cooked, but tiny). The sausage was the size of my little finger (approx 3 inches long x 1 inch in diameter). Each 'potatoe rosti' was about the size of a Dorito chip. The 'beef strips (aka bacon)' were about the size of shaved ham slices I've bought from Coles. The mushrooms were (in comparison to the other servings) generous. All in all the food was fairly nicely cooked (& was quite palatable), just EXCEPTIONALLY undersized for the asking price of $27.48!! I guess this serves me right for not buying & cooking these items myself. FYI: at Coles - 12 x 800g free range eggs = $6.75; McCain 750 gram Frozen Hashbrowns = $5.80; loose cup mushrooms (500 grams) = $6.25; Canola oil 750 mls = $3.55; Stone Baked Wholemeal loaf = $4.50; fresh gourmet tomatoes 500 grams = $3.45; Finest Beef sausage w/ garlic & parsley (500 grams) = $9.00; Shortcut rindless bacon (400 grams) = $12.00. Labour to prepare, cook & serve (ALL above ingredients) = $25.00. Long story short - if I'd been bothered to shop & cook this dish myself inc. ALL the above ingredients.... I could've had a substantially larger serving of 'The Loft's BIG Breakfast', at least 5 days in a row..... for $76.30 total..... $15.26/ day..... I would be a bit ashamed asking for a $12 + mark up for overheads & profit on top of that...... (almost an 80% mark up!!!!!) That's a pretty poor performance guys (you must admit: all the above notes I have been generous with in regards size VS...

Staff are not attentive. No customer service. This was on Sunday. How hard is it for staff member to quickly advise customer who is holding a menu behind customers asking for a table to go up to register to order. Customers that cut infront of me. I let it go as I would assume they would be pointed to get a free table as that's how I was directed. No, the staff member walked away to seat them. then being confused what to do, I walked around to enter in the cafe to call out to staff member to ask about how to order. She pointed out and i saw there was a staff member standing there. They did not attempt to assist me, by the fact i had called out and staff instructed. Another customer who was right behind me. Then cut me off. That's now TWO! how hard is it for the worker to say sorry that person was waiting. No attention to detail of what's going on. No care. I walked away, not bothering to give money to a business that hire staff that have no interest in customer service or doing the right thing. Even if other customers are selfish and push in. I promised my husband that I would leave it for a few days to see if this experience warrants a negative review. It does. I look upon reviews before choosing where to dine. Hopefully this will assist other customers. I should've walked away when the first customer cut me off and staff leaving without giving direction to me. I was holding a menu in hand. That should be a sign I am ready to order, if you don't want to offer...

I went to the cafe today around 10:30am ,i love the breakfast and used to be my favourite place to spend time for breakfast but today my mood get spoiled by one of your rude staff name Wajia. What happened was ,while My husband order at the counter i waited at the table with my 2 years old kid , i then asked one of the staff name Wajia ‘can i have a high chair for my daughter’ She pointing her fingers to there the high chair is (without any words). I’m shocked , i the asked can she help to get it for me since i can’t leave my daughter alone at the table , she replied ‘You have to get it by yourself’!! I’m shocked, but at first I thought is the cafe policy for self service or something so i called my husband at the counter to get it for me. My husband was a bit upset then he asked another staff is the cafe policy not to help the customers but he said ‘no, normally we can get it for customers’. I’m so shocked the way she behaves and how rude she was. I confront this to the nice lady at the counter she nice and said sorry to me,Wajia heard the conversation and come to me and she said ‘I told to everyone like that’ I’m really frustrated she don’t even say sorry and still acted really rude . This will be my last experience...

The Loft Cafe at Macquarie Centre is a unique little spot with a refreshing ambience that sets it apart from the usual mall cafes. Tucked away on Level 4, it offers a cozy yet open space, making it a nice place to take a break while shopping. The decor and atmosphere are definitely a highlight—modern, stylish, and a bit different from what you’d expect in a shopping center. I tried a flat white and a chai latte, and while both were decent, they didn’t particularly stand out. The flat white had a smooth texture but lacked the depth of flavor I was hoping for. The chai latte was okay, with a mild spice profile, though it could have been a bit richer in taste. What really stood out was the customer service—the staff were friendly, welcoming, and efficient, which made the visit pleasant. It’s always nice when a place makes you feel valued as a customer. Overall, The Loft Cafe is worth visiting if you’re in Macquarie Centre and looking for a peaceful spot to relax. While the coffee and chai were just okay, the great service and unique setting make it a nice little escape from the busy shopping environment.

They don’t serve bacon?! Came here and tried to order breakfast (bacon and eggs on toast) but they don’t serve bacon and instead give a piece of beef. It’s a processed beef piece like Spam. The food presentation leaves a lot to be desired. I ended up getting an egg sandwich with a piece of processed beef of it. The eggs were well cooked and I got two of them (this is great) but the rest was lacklustre. The coffee is still good. Nice find in Macquarie centre. I took a star off because I saw a staff member accidentally drop a yellow cloth on the floor and proceeded to pick it up.. and then wipe the table with it. 😱 I ordered eggs Benedict, which was nice and fresh. The coffee I got was great, just not big enough (I should have ordered a bigger one!)

In general, it’s a good place to relax and has brunch. I went there, ordered one of my favorite- the French toast. It came out very nicely decorated and drizzled with honey syrup, yum! While my friend ordered the big breakfast which she enjoyed. However, half way through my meal, I noticed a hair glued to the strawberry I was about to eat. I thought it will be good to bring to their attention. I waited for one of the waitresses to come by and I explained to her. She took my plate and she said she will let the kitchen know. My plate was taken away and never come back and there was no apology. It’s quite a surprise for a place like this. The food is still good, yeah I think their customer service may need some improvement.
