The motel rooms that look so tiny online and outside are deep so larger than you expect. They have new kitchenettes, good sized modern shower rooms, and comfortable beds. We were on a fundraising cycling tour and the staff couldn't have been more helpful nor more friendly. They even waved our donation tin under all the patron' s noses and we received some wonderful donations for Parkinson's research. If you are there on a Wednesday night beware - the garbage truck comes along the lane right outside the motel room doors in the small hours, and proceeds to pickup and drop (one quite well!) some huge metal bins located in the lane. If you order the vegetable lasagne I'd advise you get a half serve - they were huge, but perhaps I got a quadruple serve as I looked like I'd ridden 150kms (which I had) and I would strongly suggest you ask for no extra sauce on top. A flood of 2 types of sweet white sauces were added to my dish (on both the lasagne and the accompanying veg) These are VERY unusual, and definitely not my cup of tea. At least 4 staff members popped by our table just to have a chat, they were truly outstanding!

Great little country pub in regional Tassie. Stopped on our way up to an airbnb, after a day of hiking around Wineglass Bay and Freycinet/Swansea area. Good counter meals, reasonably priced, good range of beers on tap and cans/bottles (don't expect craft beer, but a good range of lagers). The food was great, good feed for the price. Really can't complain about anything bar the toilet light going off while i was in there as it's on a sensor/timer system, and even that wasn't a problem! My partner had the lamb, which was beautiful, I had the parmy. Only suggestion is to ask for gravy with the parmy!

Certainly did not live up to the recent glowing reviews. Ordered flounder, chips and salad. The fish clearly came out of a cheap low grade frozen supermarket packet. It was thinner than a finger nail and tasted as such. The salad had a blob of tangy mayonnaise stuck on top. The slice of lemon couldn't be any smaller and the chips were dry and missing most of the potato inside. Both my husband and I were very disappointed and won't be back.

We called in on a Sunday whilst on a touring holiday of Tasmania. Everything our stay here was disappointing. We booked a room in the motel, it dint reflect photos, tored & worn out, door didnt stay closed unless you locked it. You struggled to get in the door as the double bed was too close. No hairdryer or available when asked. Proceeded to the lounge, my wife & i had to muscle through four guys surrounding the bar to get service from a fairly disinterested barman, more interested in the loud ribald stories being told by the lads. Was escorted to a table in one of the dining areas. Ordered a meal. Wanted to order a Wine from a disappointing wine menu. Wasnt able to be served from the bar in this area even though it was connected to the previously mentioned bar, where my wife had to squeeze between lads. Two pretty ordinary inedible meals arrived. Eventually retired to our room. There is a smoking alcove outside the back of the hotel, ten meters from the motel rooms. A collection of young females smoked drank and carried raucous loud coverversations till very late. Didnt heed any attempt by motel guest to quieten it down

I rarely post negative reviews but stay...

This was the most disgusting place I have stayed since leaving home on 29 Jan. 2018. Paid $130 a night and was going to stay two nights but could not leave the place sooner. The room stank of foul toilet deodorant, which made it impossible to sleep, the smoking area was filthy and when I asked for a wine glass to take to my room I was told there were not enough, they were needed for the hotel patrons. I counted 6 patrons. At 5am I was disturbed by bottles being thrown into the bin. The cleaner was more helpful and hospitable than the barmaid!!!!!! I have being paying anything from $100 - $175per night, my $100 a night far out weighed your establishment. I am paying $130 tonight and have an extremely large room with a queen and a single bed, the staff are going out of their way to be helpful. Maybe you should clean up your act or let your rooms for far less than what you are asking. Maybe $40 a...
