We were initially disappointed when we first arrived, our "two bedroom" cabin was a little bigger than a 20ft shipping container with a double bed up one end and a bunk down the other end. We had to move the table outside to set up the porta cot for 18mth old. The cabin itself was dated and the roof in the bathroom had some patches of rotten timber. No deck or railing on the steps to the cabin. None of the games in the games room appeared to be working and there was no oven in the camp kitchen as shown on the website (courtesy of some tent friends we made during our stay). Positives - there were some nice little touches during our stay which bumped it up a bit, management left a little bag of Easter eggs for each of the kids, there was a herb garden, although the cabin was dated the appliances were all fairly new, different options for the kids with the pool, jumping pillow, playground and basketball ring. My suggestion would be if you are staying with kids in a cabin book one if the villas.

If you don't want a caravan camped within 50cm of side of your van and another 50cm from annex this is not the place for you. Asked manager if the council realised how tightly packed in everyone was and he said there wasn't a problem and I was the only person to complain. I told him this was untrue as I had spoken to someone yesterday who had been to the office and demanded another sight as they felt it was a fire hazard being packed so tightly together. In response to the reply by Big 4 management, we did NOT have an expander caravan parked on either side of us. We did not have a back to back site, we had a drive through extremely skinny site, as did everyone else in our row. If it hadn't been for the untruth about never having anyone else complain then I may not have been quiet so scathing. Treat your guests as poorly as you currently do and you will find it harder and harder to keep going.

I went there with my friends and family. The location of the park is next to hume highway followed by train tracks... through out the night you will hear noise of trucks and it becomes difficult to sleep. Moreover the rooms are pretty old and were not properly cleaned when we checked in. The bed sheets had footprints and pet hairs. We booked family cabin and didn't like the experience. Though the staff is cooperative, but unfortunately because of the condition of resort and location it wasn't the great experience. Would not be staying there again.

We stayed in the poolside 2 bedroom cabin, it was nice and clean, it has everything you need for 4 ppl. It is reasonably quite despite the major highway being 200mtrs away. The cabin itself does need an upgrade, I.e: needs some small repairs, squeaky floors are loud and the bed mattresses are not comfortable- double bed is hard old spring matteress, bottom bunk mattress was soft, the top bunk mattress was so thin you can feel the slats underneath. The rooms are pokey which makes it difficult to setup as there is limited space to move about. The outdoor space is a covered deck, and has a 6 seat table, the downside is that the afternoon sun comes straight onto the deck - there isnt any sun shade from the afternoon sun. Curtains need to be drawn to avoid heat in the cabin. The pool is clean, shaded and a good size and a good depth for kids and adults for a cool down, the bonus of the cabin is the proximity to the pool. The parking area can fit a car and a water ski a boat would park further away. The park upon arrival the entrance is typical of a caravan park look, an update would make the premises more welcoming. The staff are nice helpful and prepared for your arrival. The downside after entering the park you will notice the permanent client lots a small portion and of these some will give the park a rough and un-kept feel as they are run down or over cluttered with items. Look past that and the rest of the park is very good for an afternoon stroll or kids to ride a bike and play amongst the other cabins and caravans. The parks games room is for small kids with a large wall size chalkboard and some kid toys, a pool table (no balls and only one pool stick which I think is at reception with an 90"s style coin racing arcade game. A large outdoor play area for soccer, football etc and a mini golf course for some fun with a return deposit for equipment, Byo sports is ok too. Overall...

Would not recommend staying in a SUPERIOR CABIN at $195 a night. Dirty furniture, dirty floors, filthy fridge/freezer, springs out in main bedroom mattress, bunk bed bottom mattress sunk to the outside causing a roll out of the bed, and live cockroaches (plural), on the dining table and a dead cockroach on the kitchen floor. Lifted the centrepiece on dining table only to discover it had not been cleaned underneath, as it had multiple black deposits on table.||||E-mail regarding the possibility of an early check in as part of the BIG 4 PERKS. No response whatsoever from management.||||On arrival, no acknowledgement when asked.||||Manager did come in on second day to view the state of the cabin. He agreed with the state of the place. I offered date and time stamped photos of our arrival to provide feedback. He did not take up this offer, however he did say he would take it up with cleaners. He took notes in a notepad.||||More communication between management and housekeeping would also benefit your guests. We had exactly one day of fully self contained supplies (towels, tea towels, detergent, toilet paper), as shared by the neighbours, and our stay was for 3 nights.||||Personally, and that is what I am being asked here... my opinion, for $575 for the three nights, I am very disappointed with both the stay and THE BIG 4. I would not recommend choosing a park that is in partnership with THE BIG 4, as it does NOT guarantee a minimum...

Yesterday

Not pleasant Stayed for two nights and I can honestly say it was not pleasant. $50 per night for a powered site, got me a dirty bathroom that was almost impossible to enter due to number codes access locks. Locks were located very close to door jamb, making putting the numbers in very very difficult, in order for it to open you needed to pull the small knob toward you as you put the numbers in then quickly turn the knob. I broke a thumb nail trying to to log in-the numbers. The showers were dirty, the wall tiles had brown liquid running down as they got wet with the shower water. Several hand basins had no water coming through the taps when hot was turned on. Several toilets had little or no toilet paper in the roll holders, and the holders which had written ā€œ turn for new rollā€ didn’t turn. The camp kitchen was locked, and to access you needed a key from the office, which didn’t open until 8 am so you couldn’t do breakfast in there prior to leaving. The whole park had a feeling of neglect about it. The grounds were littered with paper and dead leaves, and the sites where there was no concrete ,were very muddy. The boom gates had been removed, offering no security for your caravan if you left the park. There appeared to be lots of van occupants who were long term residents and unrestrained dogs...
