Stagecoach Motel Wodonga — Hotel in Wodonga

Right from the start this Motel stood out from the rest with the customer service provided by the managers. They bent over backwards to accommodate my needs in what was a difficult situation and last minute booking as a result of poor service from another Motel in the area (Quest!). Whilst the room is no 5 star accommodation it has all the comforts you need for a short stay and I would give a 4 out of 5. Two seater couch, queen bed, tv, split system plus a two seater dinning table and chairs. The bathroom was spacious with the older small but clean tiles that you can stand on safely without sliding across the room or falling on your face. Road noise was minimal and I was in the front room and after the 1st night I didn't even notice it. Value for money given what you get and the service was faultless. Easy check in and out. My only criticism is that I kept driving by the entrance, necessitating many u-turns and round the roundabouts. At first there was a truck blocking the sign then even after it moved the signage is well back from the road and not all that obvious. The room was clean, well appointed and I could park right out front of my door. I honestly have never been in a motel that was so well stocked with snacks, beverages and literally everything I that I might possibly need or want. I was dismayed that I was unable to completely shut the front window, the window lock was stuck so there was some road noise but other than that I couldn't fault anything. It's interesting for me that I thought to try another motel after staying in two in recent months in the region that were good, but both of them had very firm beds and I wanted to find one where the bed was more comfortable. So this motel doesn't have the price tag of some of the fancier names I have stayed in but it was the best of them. Firstly, customer service is outstanding!
