The people her are really trying to make this park lovely. The facilities are a bit tired but very clean. We wanted an ensuite so we were parked up the factory end of the park. Ou stay may have been different at the other end. But..... I am writing this at 0130 in the morning here is why; Our evening started by having to rescue a young woman that was clearly under the weather who had come back to the park in the company of an older man. Not the parks fault. But we did wonder why everyone had their windows shut and blinds drawn. Turns out next door parking lot is lit up with spotlights!!!!! Not just one but enough so it is enough to read outside. Shining straight in!!!! The photos attached are taken at 130 in the morning! So we put the blinds down. Still doesn't block the light but No biggie. Just nodding off when this terrible (but vaguely familiar) smell literally assaults me! Iwake up thinking the dogs have eaten something dead or worse bought the dead thing in the caravan and just dismemered it. Then I hear the god awful racket coming from up the road I go outside and walk up the road aways and I figure out what is going on.... there is a HUGE slaughter house or fertiliser factory up the road about 200 metres away. The smell of blood and bone sawing reminds me of ortho surgery. Mingled with faecal matter it is deadly. Then there is the constant horn tooting (every 10 seconds or so) of the little vehicle travelling between factories lit up like a christmas tree. Yeah my husband is asleep but not me. Look it was cheap and the people are really trying but I wish we had stayed at the other end. Or better,...
Read moreNever again...Park was clean but its located in the industrial area. Workers sitting in their car playing music and chatting before starting work at 7am and skids on the way in is not a great way to wake up. Thinking we may get a sleep in on the new years weekend was wishful with a car transporter unloading his truck at 6.30am on the Sunday. Pool was great for the kids in the very hot weather, well when it was open that is. The kids waited from 9am on two days only for it to open at 2pm and the other day it did not open - not impressed nor were all the other families in the park. Don't like been told only 1hr every time we went up and told there was to many people in it and they needed to clean it....do it overnight if that's the case, a salt water pool is that hard. You pay for the facilities and don't get to use them with no real apology. It also wasn't a great look having your teenage son do pool checks on the side while people were swimming and relaxing...take it away like all...
Read moreStayed 4 nights in a 6 berth Deluxe cabin #32. I suppose i should've done my homework more! Beds and bedrooms were great but the main room was tiny for a 6 berth. A 2 seater couch that was stained and terribly uncomfortable. A table with 4 seats arounds it. Bar fridge and hot plates only no oven. The whole cabin needed a good coat of paint and a spring clean. The front step I am not sure how it passes regulations, slabs of loose concrete that were difficult to manage for a child on crutches and no outside light. Our tv didn't work on arrival but that was quickly replaced and also towels weren't in the kids room which the staff gave to us straight away. The staff were very helpful as we didn't have hot water last night and that was fixed. We work in accommodation and know that you cannot please everyone, I just thought with a 6 berth deluxe cabin it would be a bit more spacious and have 2 couches. Yes i know that we could've complained and left and asked...
