We were very excited when we turned up he especially my 13 year old son. Our cabin was directly where the basketball court is and he loves basketball. He then was doing some flips on the jumping pillows. Then we ventured down further to see the water park which he had a blast at excuse the pun and went down water slides. We ventured to a swimming pool down the other direction this was my favourite and my son's it has a big water slide into the warm pool the pool temperature is just right not to warm not too cold. I had fun with my mobile phone with my water screen protector on it going down the slides and videoing us under the water and landing in the water from the slide. I was able to swim around while he was having fun it was perfect. There is an adults hot spa right next to this when it was very quiet and everyone had gone back to school my son and I were able to enjoy this together. Otherwise no go only adults only in this hot spa. There is another pool as well with a tiny slide for maybe two-year-olds to go down this pool is good temperature as well it has a cold spa and a Hot spafor anyone to enjoy. We played some mini golf and there's also an active game that you tap on the lights which is quite fun to play. There is a little gym here a movie room and ping pong as well as slides and a little area for mostly younger kids to enjoy. There is a little rainforest walk they have built on the premises we didn't get time to look at. There are riding carts which is fun for two people and adult and child or single ones we did not get time for this either. The cafe is good and I love their lovely palm trees around it and high seating to sit at. I got the ham and pineapple pizza with the Fries the pizza was amazing. The shop has lots of little things even some souvenirs to buy lollies cheap drinks etc anything you want. There is the bar out the back of this cafe where you can sit down. There is an area for dogs a little play park area which I did not get a chance to have a look at this place really has it all we really enjoyed it. We loved the cabin it is spacious and comfortable well there was only two of us but it is supposed to be for five people. I do recommend to ask for extra blankets in the winter as I was quite cold at night even if the weather is Pleasant in the daytime. The air conditioning you need to use the key which they did not tell me about but this is only for cooling for the summer. If it's hot make sure you use the key at the front door where the light is. We were right near the basketball court busy Road right along this area which I noticed at night time if you're a light sleeper wear earplugs. Only reason I didn't give it five stars was because it's not Central to cans Esplanade which I did get a taste of this on my trip to Cairns. Honestly though I chose this place to have fun with my son and we sure did and it didn't matter as I already did go to the central part of Cairns so I recommend staying here but also staying near...

Hard to find your way around the grounds. Food mediocre at the Cafe, throw away bamboo Cutlery even if eating in, service mediocre from big 4. Charge a surcharge without advertising it and then blame the snackbar, well sorry they are operating under your umbrella so you are overall responsible to ensure things are done legally. They are employees working at big4, they should be treated with the same respect. Maybe even invited to big4 Christmas parties since you all work together to provide an enjoyable stay for guests, if it wasn't for the cafe staff you wouldn't have food on site. Disgraceful to see such disregulation in a park like this. The customer service liaison was less than helpful and just wanted to wipe his hands of responsibility. Place is overrun by unsupervised kids that are under the age of the policy that states kids are to be supervised under a certain age, running/riding out in front of cars, cars parking in front of the Cafe blocking access in and out, Big4 staff no where in site to ensure this does not happen. Smokers can smoke wherever, constantly had the smell of cigarettes in our camp area. If you don't like car noise, don't stay here when a car event is on as the drags or burnouts were extremely loud until late. Which didn't bother us but is worth noting.

Positives - they gernie the gutters early in the morning, so you don't get to have a relaxing lay in on holidays. The facilities are good if you can tolerate rude pushy kids without boundaries or parents who want to teach them to be respectful of others, because it's happy hour and that's what they are there for. Parenting goes out the window at a place like this. Big camp fridges you can use if you don't have the capacity in your own camp fridge. Camp kitchen gets super busy, so get in early if you need to use the facilities as people eat before they clean up after themselves so you either have to clean up their mess or wait it out. Coming here as a family so our own kids could have fun, bit of a let down. As there really are not staff around to ensure that the park operates as a park and not a free for...

Update: Had a friendly chat to Jenifer Who kindly reached out to me and took my concerns seriously. She sounded genuine that they will sort it out. I know this sounds false but at the time of writing originally I was annoyed but I should have also added the staff were always polite and friendly and had I not have been anxious to approach them I’m sure they would have sorted it out for me. I will leave the star rating at 3 and I will re-review and delete this in November when we hope to return again. This is due to it being really accommodating to our kids and the friendliness of the staff at coconut resort. I just want to a thank the staff for understanding.

I’ll start off with the bad and finish with the good.

The accomodation stinks and I’d like to know when the last time they washed their curtain or steam cleaned their carpet and treated their bed. I’m not sure whether they clean their toilets properly but nothing in the villa smelt fresh. It smelt like a stale old persons apartment and at some time struggled to want to come back to the villa.

The restaurant is a joke. They charge almost 10 dollars for a kids menu and barely put anything on the plate for them. When I took my older two kids out for food it took 1hour and 30 minutes for my food to arrive when they said 50 minutes. Adult food is reasonably priced but kids menu is shocking.

The resort itself is very well accommodating. Plenty for the kids to do from little to older. From spas to slide to park to open air theatre. I cannot fault what they provide for the kids. For the adult it’s pretty relaxing. But that’s about all the positives I can provide. I do think it’s worth a 3 star but only a 3 star. They take the piss charging...

We stayed on 21/3 - 23/3 in a spa villa at $180 + PN. The wifi and streaming services were unavailable and we were not told this prior to our stay. We called once about it and were told only half the issue. Just would have appreciated a proper upfront explanation. Given the huge rainfall all weekend which wasn’t properly forecast we couldn’t make use of the outdoor entertainment facilities. We have a small child and so we were banking heavily on being able to watch movies etc over the weekend either side of being out and about. To be honest had we been told of them not working prior we would have postponed our stay to a better time weather wise as we were stuck in the cabin with little to do. The cabins were lacking basic equipment like dust pans and brooms etc and we did not appreciate the key and power outage system. When leaving the cabin, everything powers off and you return to a stinky hot stuffy cabin which takes ages to cool back down. I think if people are paying for the utilities then they should be able to leave an aircon on and return to comfort from the warm outside. We disliked the tacky aircon signs guilting people into running them at 24 otherwise they may “leak or freeze over “ we all know that’s just code for saying it costs us money to run them on a cooler temperature. Why not at least just change it to an eco message and suggest that people run them at 23/23 for some of the time or something a bit more believable. Would really appreciate one nights refund for our poor experience. Park was otherwise neat and tidy had we been able to step outside and actually use the park it would have been good.

One of the top 3 caravan parks in Australia we’ve stayed in, the best place for families!! Pools: there are 3 pools, a kids splash park, a kids pool and a big pool with two slides (slides open from 10am - 5pm). There are spa pools at the big pool and kids pool as well. Powered sites: the sites are very spacious with lots of trees between them. Lots of picnic benches and barbecues spread across the whole campground. Amenities: lots of toilets available near the pools and public areas. The big amenities block near the caravan sites is always very clean, no matter the time of the day. Also the camp kitchen that’s close to us seems tidy and even has a herb garden!! Reception/ staff: everyone we came across was super friendly, even on Christmas Day! A late checkin was organised for us without any dramas, all quick and easy. Other activities: * Minigolf with 18 holes. It’s for free, they just take a $10 deposit for the clubs. * Baby/ toddler soft play area (near the laundry) * Indoor gym (also near the laundry). We didn’t go inside but I’ve seen some bikes, a stepper, benches and weights. * Golf cart and go cart hire * Pool and table tennis There is a petrol station within the campground and an ice/ water machine that’s accessible 24/7. They also have a little shop/ cafe/ bar, the shop was open on Christmas Day and has everything you need, water, eggs, milk, juice, cereal, sunscreens, goggles and so much more. The cafe serves food as well, see photo of menu attached.

Amazing enjoyable I would 100% stay again for a fun holiday so many awesome activities. But wouldn’t book for a birthday party again as to many restrictions and deposit. The cabins, facilities and areas were always kept clean. There was so many activities for everyone to do. You’d never get bored. The staff were friendly and helpful they met all my requirements, including requesting a cabin right beside the playground and having my family stay in the cabin right beside me. We most enjoyed the big waterslides which everyone could go on, the kids really liked the new splash park. I didn’t like having to put a $20 deposit down for the key which I wasn’t made aware of until I checked in, you can’t leave the Aircon on if you lock the cabin as the aircon is only works when key is put in the switch. I didn’t like that you can only have birthday parties in the cabin which I wasn’t made aware of until after I booked when the staff said you can only have parties in the cabin, I just assumed you could have them at the barbecue areas where the pools are. than I had to book 2 cabins because it’s capped at 4 guest per cabin or my family wouldn’t of all been able to come, also guest have to pay $25 each to enter for the day. If you want to play mini golf you have to put down a deposit. otherwise perfect for a holiday or break has so many fun things to do is clean, well maintained with super friendly staff
