We came for 3 nights to explore the city and go up into the mountains and couldn't have been more pleased with the location of this hostel. We stayed in a double ensuite room with mountain-view which was absolutely breathtaking - make sure you book mountain-view so you're not at the back of the building! We couldn't hear the main road despite it being so close, and the number 3 tram (less than 5 minute walk) goes straight into the city. With the Welcome Card you get free public transport during your stay so we used this line every day, super convenient. ||The staff are so friendly, I had a couple of questions about excursions and our room before we came and my emails were answered within 5 minutes. Breakfast was amazing - cold cuts of different meats and cheeses, hummus, spreads, pastries + breads, as well as fresh fruit and vegetables, boiled eggs, gluten free bread and lactose free butter! Plus juice, warm milk, cereals and loads of teas and coffee options (as well as oat milk). The breakfast room is self-service so you clear your own table, I thought this was a great idea because the table turnover is quick and you can always get a seat. I recommend eating between 7-8.30 so it's not too busy and you get the most variety. ||Our room was a great size, plenty of space for two people with lots of storage, a desk, big mirror and nice-sized bathroom. The different lamps made it feel cosy at night which we thought was a nice touch. The whole room was immaculately clean, no dust or anything. The double bed was really a big double as well - not two twins pushed together! The only thing that kept us awake a bit was the bed was very creaky, but we loved the view so much and had already unpacked, so didn't think it was worth changing. ||I haven't stayed in a hostel before so I was pleasantly surprised! I found the whole experience really relaxing and would definitely...
Read moreGreat place to stay with amazing views. We stayed in twin room which was spacious with our own bathroom. Breakfast selection had bit boiled eggs, sausages (local), breads, yogurts, fruits, granolas, cornflakes, cheeses and hams. Coffee was strong, but not bitter. You can get drinks and coffee at any time from reception.
Easy access by public transport from airport (if you buy from ticket machine, only €2.50 and you can use same ticket for bus and tram). Take bus F to Sillpark and hop onto tram nr 3 towards Amras. Second last stop is yours. Stops are displayed very clearly on the screen showing you next 5 upcoming stops. You can also walk to city, it's straight road, around 20-30 min, depends if you are doing it before or after skiing. Google maps aren't helpful with public transport in Innsbruck. There are so many easy options! Just grab a map and navigate yourself. We went to Patscherfelban to ski, rented equipment there and used their overnight locker to keep it since we rented for 2 days. Locker was €5.00 (4.something) for night to fit 2 people equipment. To get there we walked to Sportscenter, took bus J (again €2.50 per adult), were brought all the way to the lifts. You can take tram nr 3 to Sillpark and then bus J. Shops in town closes around 18, latest 19 o'clock. Sillpark is huge shopping center not too far. You can leave your travel essentials at home, NB shop's own brand roll on deodorant is 55 cent. Shampoo little bit more. Also that shopping center has budget clothes shops (H&M, Primark, NewYorker) where you can get tshirts for as...
Read moreHad below issues Due to noise from bed frame(?), we couldn't sleep for entire staying, next day asked to fix the issue and they promised solutions but finally no action by end of staying. (Some of you considering staying there, can be also assigned to the room)
charged city tax for children, when checked in hotel, staff asked to pay city tax for child also so I was asking if child also needed to pay however hotel took it anyhow, but the day after found out exception for child so I asked hotel to refund it and only after then they refunded 4 euro..
For both issues, they never said single sorry..
Those things made screwed up not only staying the hotel but also vacation in Innsbruck/Austria.
‐---------- from here My response for hotel's response -------------
‐ even you did not tried to fix it at all my stay was in week days you did not do best, not even basic screwed' is not strong at all considering for your actions
you did not take city tax automatically, even I asked exception of child when you tried to take, but you said 'yes' and took intentionally.
‐-------------after hotel's second reply--- your handyman did not do any for the issues, I believe you already knew the room issues of noise and tried fixing but failed and gave up to fix even before I come, I saw your trial marks.
you did refund "only after I requested " without single sorry.
you didn't meet even basic standard.
You are just consistent with excuses Very disappointed.
Happy to keep talking about it...
