Nestled in the heart of Salzburg, Motel One is a charming haven that seamlessly blends modern elegance with old-world charm. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was captivated by the hotel's inviting atmosphere and impeccable interior design.
The lounge in the reception area immediately caught my attention with its cozy ambiance and stylish décor. Plush sofas, warm lighting, and tasteful accents created the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring the city. Whether enjoying a cup of coffee or indulging in their gin cocktails, the lounge provided a tranquil escape from the bustling streets outside.
One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast buffet, which offered an impressive array of options, including a generous selection for vegans. From fresh fruits and a lot of bread items to deserts, juices, and much more, there was something to satisfy every palate. I appreciated the hotel's commitment to catering to the references and ensuring that all guests could enjoy a delicious and fulfilling breakfast.
However, what truly sets Motel one apart is the attentive service provided by the staff. During a snowy day, the receptionist went above and beyond to assist me, providing me with an umbrella to ensure that I stayed dry and comfortable during my explorations of the city. Their genuine hospitality and willingness to accommodate guests' needs truly enhanced my overall experience.
The rooms were equally impressive. My room was spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully appointed with modern amenities and luxurious touches. The comfortable bed provided a restful night's sleep, while the elegant furnishings added to the ambiance of relaxation and comfort.
The only Cons were, that they don’t offer dinner in night, and I could only buy simple bites like a sandwich, considering the worst weather during Winter, they must think of offering dinner service in-house. However, there are a lot of restaurants nearby where we could dine. The hotel must think of this again, I had the same problem in their hotel in the Innsbruck branch as well.
In conclusion, my stay at Motel One was nothing short of exceptional. From the inviting lounge and delectable breakfast buffet to the attentive service and comfortable accommodations, every aspect of my experience exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this boutique hotel for an unforgettable stay...
Read moreProbably one of the worst stays in my entire life. If you value your sleep, I highly suggest you find a different option to spend the night for the following reasons:
1.) The hotel is located on the busiest Main Street in Salzburg. Cars will rush by every 2-3 seconds through the whole night 20 feet from you.
2.) The temperature in this place is just not suitable for sleeping. We are here in winter and you can lay in bed with zero clothes on, and the blanket off and it’s still too hot. The temperature controls in your room are fake and change nothing.
3.) Opening the window to solve Problem 2 is also not and option due to the street noise, which you can already hear through the windows not to mention the bus station right below you has people lingering, being loud and smoking all night long.
4.) No blackout curtains. Any curtain from IKEA blocks more light than whatever this is.
5.) The bed is so hard you might as well sleep on the floor for better spine alignment.
This place is designed for broke people, raging alcoholics that pound enough cocktails to fall into a coma and undervalued employees on business trips that have no other choice.
At least the reception is friendly, even though they can’t really do anything about...
Read moreI understand that for 8 or 9 months of the year their is no need for air conditioning in Salzburg but I stayed in June and now (largely thanks to climate change) their is a need for air conditioning in Salzburg at that time of year. ||During my stay the daytime temperature was in the low 30’s and nights were warm. As motel one do not believe in air conditioning I was unable to sleep which made it difficult to enjoy my time in Salzburg. I experienced the same issues at motel one Stuttgart, but at least at the Salzburg hotel you could open the window with little noise.||Apart from the lack of air conditioning, the rooms whilst basic were clean and comfortable. Their were no English speaking channels. Do you not want English speaking guests? Breakfast was basic but ok. ||The bus which stops outside the hotel takes you to and from Stuttgart. In addition, if you walk down the road to another bus stop you can get the bus into berchtesgaden which is beautiful. ||I’m not returning to this or any other motel one hotel. I place the fault not at any hotel manager but at the cost cutting measures of...
