Explorer Hotel Kitzbühel — Hotel in Sankt Johann in Tirol

The only thing I enjoyed about this hotel is the sauna and steam. The rest is just fake. Location - next to a noisy road and a cowhouse (smells great...). Room does not have even a chair to sit on normally. Bathroom OK. When someone is walking on the corridor, noise in the room feels like a disco. Flashing fire alarm on the ceiling all night. Breakfast - if you want an egg you need to cook it yourself. You need to choose short time slot the day before for your breakfast. Then you will sit at a table which they will choose for you. Worst Breakfast experience ever. For hiking no information provided, no maps, no texts, the staff doesn't have a clue about surroundings. The TV has apps, but it is not connected to the Internet. Obviously ill member of the staff working without a mask when not talking to guests. Don't get confused by its marketing, it is average price hotel with services matching...

The people running this place are the highlight as they were all really helpful and nothing seemed to big an issue, the hotel itself is a little no frills and not necessarily the kind of hotel you'd want to spend the whole day in, so its very focused on providing you a place to rest between ski sessions. rooms were lovely to look at although unnecessarily hot at night. Rooms had smart TVs so we were able to log in to English speaking services like netflix. no tea making facilities in the rooms but 24hr access to a tea/coffee machine in the lounge. beds were soft but could have done with a better standard of pillow. hotel is described as ski in/out but in reality is a 10-15 minute walk to the main gondola station. would highly recommend for a...

This is our third Explorer hotel and we were partially satisfied with the quality of it. All in all was nothing special, they are missing extra activity for children for the eventuality that it rains or one have to spend the time indoors. Thy have a x-box but is absolutely insufficient and for kids who are active also not of interest. |The last times we specified that as a “vegetarian friendly “ hotel they don’t even have an alternative to milk for the coffee.
