DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Minsk — Hotel in Minsk

Second time I stay at this hotel and I stayed this time for one week. Although, I have visited Minsk since 2007. ||||In general, It’s a good hotel, by almost all means. You get a surprise present if you stay little bit longer time, that was really nice.||||||Remarks,||||- The airport Taxi service offered by Hilton is really poor, even if the taxi is a subcontractor I honestly feel that Hilton can’t neglect their responsibility to secure that their offered services have good quality. I would not recommend anyone to use the airport transfer offered by Hilton.||||Twice have I used this Hilton taxi transfer and both times have they failed to be at airport in time, and I had to call to Hilton to ask for the booked taxi. This time I got the answer from Hilton that the taxi driver were already standing at the pickup point holding a paper with my name.||||I assured that there were nobody holding my name. I was then told twice by Hilton to more or less sort this out myself by walking around and ask every random person if they were my tax driver (keep in mind that very few taxi drivers in Minsk speaks English) - not really what I expected to hear from a 5 star business hotel. ||||Then it appeared that the tax driver was not even at the pickup point for arrivals and came to pick me up +20 min late - and this Hilton charged full price for (it’s not the money, it’s the principle)….. ||||||||Flip the coin,||||- There are two clear superstars who deserves extra recognition. ||||The Front Desk ||- Diana and ||- I don’t recall her name. A dark red/brown haired girl. There are only two working at the front desk with this hair color. One is Diana, and the second one is this one.||||Both of them are real premium gold level and two of the better front desk agents I ever met, with my +170 hotel nights annually. They were very helpful with doing reservations, book taxis, calling to different instances on my behalf, and even drawing a map to me. There were nothing they couldn’t help with…||||||- Can be good to know that coins in your room, are considered as tip by the cleaning service. This have never happened to me in any other 5 star business hotel, or matter in fact in any hotel at all (including other Belarusian hotels, as well). No harm as such, as it’s just coins. But in general, guests belongings are usually considered strictly “off-limit” until check-out - at least in other...

The location was great. Room was clean and had great view ( I liked everything in the room). The restaurant on the 7 floor (Ember) was great (should visit for a dinner). Super friendly receptionist Christina. Also the hotel organized for us transfer to go to another city (it was super comfortable and professional driver). Thank you guys!

I didn’t like that housekeeping enter to the room so fast (even I couldn’t reach the door to open how they already opened the door with their keys 😅not professional). The bar on 21 floor looks bad (that “club lights” make this bar looks cheap). Waitresses are so so unprofessional their 🤦🏼‍♀️ (should learn how to act from the Ember restaurant what on 7 floor). Don’t recommend this bar. And the most important what I faced in the hotel was SMELL !! Smell of cigarettes in the elevators so so strong and bad .. specially in the evenings. I felt like I would get asthma till I reach my hotel room (I lived on 15 floor). Even my clothes started to smell after using elevators (looks like coming from casino). Definitely the hotel must solve...

Excellent hotel. Best price/quality/service ratio I’ve ever experienced. Location is perfect, walking distance from a lot of attractions and recommending Uber for cheap rides in the city. The receptionists and concierges were highly trained and super helpful and kind. They even booked us hockey tickets to a local KHL game. Rooms were very tidy and spacious and cleaning service was superb. We were sleeping very late one day but the cleaners came during the evening and we found our room spotless by the time we came back from dinner, which was a pleasant surprise. We payed $380 for one room for three nights, and we received everything that was expected. Had breakfast at the hotel one morning, and our only regret was we didn’t have it any morning. The quality and range of food, pastries, yoghurts and cereal that was offered was AMAZING. Highly recommend the hotel, will 100% stay at this place when visiting Minsk again. 5/5...
