We pay 300€ to be rudely treated first thing in the morning. Don’t recommend, it’s not what I planned for my trip. Doing the hospitality job myself I believe they should only invest in basic manners for the reception employees. There’s a difference in word use and that can completely turn around the customer’s experience. I have called to the reception asking if it was possible to leave 15min later the check out once I was not feeling well due to the food that didn’t fit me the night before. And the lady’s words were “ the housekeeping likes to clean the room before 12pm, so NO, you HAVE to leave before 12 otherwise there’s a FINE of 20€” Here goes a suggestion that would: 1st- Make me understand the non possibility of a late check out. 2nd- Maybe SELL a late check out 3rd- Wouldn’t be rude as it sounded and make my experience bad as it turned out to be with the property “Madam, unfortunately it’s not possible once the housekeeping need to have the room cleaned before the next guests. However, in case you would need more time, we offer a late check out with a fee of 20€” WORD USE is important in a business. About the room, it was decent for sleeping, the beds were comfortable but on the second night after the cleaning it was separated in two, which was not ideal for me as we were in couple. My room’s window faced other buildings so we had to keep the curtains closed all the time. Positive point is that the curtains once closed, you won’t see any daylight which is good for proper environmental sleep. Location is great 👍👍

We had a great stay at Hotel Van Belle. The room was spotless and clearly well maintained. It was modern, comfortable and quiet, making it easy to relax after a day out exploring the city. We didn’t have breakfast during our stay, so I can’t comment on the food, but the overall atmosphere of the hotel’s common areas was warm and welcoming. The staff truly stood out, friendly, professional and always willing to help. They are definitely an asset to the hotel and contributed to making our stay smooth and enjoyable. In terms of location, the hotel is well-situated. It’s about a 15-minute walk to both the city centre and the Bruxelles Midi train station, which made it easy for us to get around. I would happily stay here again and recommend Hotel Van Belle to anyone visiting Brussels. Disliked · The only minor drawback was the immediate area around the hotel, which didn’t feel like the most welcoming or vibrant part of Brussels. At first glance, it looked a little run-down. However, this didn’t put us off in any way. We never felt unsafe, and the walk to both the city centre and the Bruxelles Midi train station was straightforward and manageable. Once inside the hotel, everything felt calm, clean and secure, and the quality of the hotel itself far outweighed our initial impression of the surrounding area.

So the rooms are dated. The table looked from the time of the resolute desk - probably the same wood. The bath tub was old - it looked from the time when Napoleon Bonaparte came there to have a bath. The TV was the first tv to be ever invented so naturally was also old. The only new thing was one plastic chair which should be around the year 2000. Overall despite the age, the rooms were clean. It's about 20 minutes walk from Brussels Central. Staff is courteous. It's in a very Islamic neighborhood/ghetto. The whole area was overflowing with ladies in hijab and head scarves and shops were named in Persian. Doesn't feel like Brussels but more like some place in interior Pakistan. It's safe though - I don't think any terrorist will bomb the place to kill his own and I guess the place runs under Sharia law so crime rate is low. e.g. They will cut your hand if caught stealing. Overall, if you just want to crash after a full day of adventure - the place will just go fine. Oh by the way, and if you pay 15 Euros extra they put you in the other building which is new and with everything from current era. Since we were on a budget we didn't. Reducing one star coz well didn't feel like 5 star.

It was a terrible experience. Every evening I was at the reception to complain about inconvenience but punctually they said "no problem, I send you a technician" but he never arrived, maybe only once in four times. I booked the hotel on booking and among the services there was "air conditioning". When I arrive at the hotel, with 30 degrees in Brussels, I find that air conditioning doesn't exist. The most absurd thing about Vann Belle Hotel is the bad management of the structure, every employee said different things: The e first "the air conditioning is there but it is broken and the technician has to repair". The second "in the hotel we do not have air conditioning ". The third" the air conditioning will be turned on in the next days ". After realizing that I had no hope, I let it go, but soon another problem came up: the sun protector. This is automatic and when it's sunny it comes down and when the sun goes away it goes up. In my room it was always up, even when the scorching sun hit the room. Think, thirty degrees, a hellish heat, non-existent air conditioning and sun protector always open, a nightmare. Also this time I complain, the technician arrives and you know what he says: quiet, it's automatic, you're wrong. I answer: look it's been open for 3 days. He: impossible, it's automatic. Believe me, dealing with incompetent, rude and arrogant staff is very difficult, at which point I decided to give up and I waited for the nightmare to end. Stay away from this hotel, in addition to the fact that it is located in a very dangerous Arab neighborhood. In the next few days I'll have my lawyer write for compensation due to the inconvenience that the hotel has given me, I have photos, videos and recordings of what they told me. Bad management that I have ever found in my life.

We stayed for a city break and walking into the reception we were pleasantly pleased with the decor. I had emailed in advance as we planned to arrive slightly before check in time, park and see the city. Arriving at 1pm the receptionist commented "we had been expecting you early and had your room ready this morning". I felt as though i should apologise for only being an hr early! Despite this we checked in, paid for the underground car park and went to our room. Our room wasnt even ready. The cleaners keys were in the door and no sign of anyone. We returned the few minutes walk and lift from what appeared to be either the old hotel or an annex. I mentioned the room not being ready to which there was a closed door conversation and the receptionist returned with a new room. Hoping it was in the newer side of the building we were disappointed to return to a room a few doors down. The room was very basic and clearly decorated in the 80s. The bathroom was basic and ive never sat on a toilet with my knees crunched up against a wall. The carpets were worn and dirty which wasnt the best, overall very dated. We could see out across a courtyard to the other side of the hotel and looking in the windows the rooms looked more up to date, there must be an option for a nice room despite the place being very quiet due to ongoing corona virus. Dont let the pics on websites fool you, lovely rooms must be available at a premium price.||The walk is about 15 mins into town and straight forward. The city itself is lovely, however following a nice night seeing the sights returning to such a budget hotel was not what we had hoped. As mentioned the reception, bar area looked promising, modern until we got...
