Renaissance Tower — Hotel in Belize City

We checked into the Princess hotel based on some recommendations from people on Ambergris Caye. We soon found that was a huge mistake and decided to walk around to see if there was a better hotel. A block away from the beach we wandered upon the Renaissance Tower and were greeted by the wonderful staff. They showed us the awesome room and took us on a mini tour of the hotel before we even decided to stay there. It was a bit more expensive than the other hotel but well worth it. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, full kitchen, flat screen cable TV, central air conditioning, guard at gated entrance, and most importantly a washer and dryer in the room. Yes I said a washer and dryer in the room! After a week of diving and such on the island, having a washer and dryer was a blessing! This was my first stay at the Renaissance Tower. The accommodations were excellent and the staff was very responsive. We had a small leak under the kitchen sink which was quickly and quietly repaired. The views from our balcony were very nice. You could actually sit outside and enjoy the view and the magnificent sea breezes. The Renaissance Tower is located within a block of two casinos and a very short walk to the BTL park area.
