You definitely get what you pay for here.||We (five girls) arrived on a bus at 10pm, and were nervous to find a hostel as soon as possible. This was half the price of any other hostel I stayed in in South America, and promised hot showers and wifi. We gratefully booked two rooms.||Desperate for something to eat we headed out, but not before the guy at the desk warned us about the 11pm curfew. He told us that if we weren't back by then, we would be locked out, and 'people get kidnapped here'. Cue mass hysteria from us five, overtired, blonde girls, and the fastest three course meal anyone has ever been served in Bolivia.||The promised wifi failed to connect, and we couldn't even find the shower, let alone see if the water was hot. ||We were so unnerved by the man's ominous warning that we practically ran to our rooms, and only went to the bathroom in groups. ||In the morning everything obviously looked much nicer, but our first impression of Copacabana was not pleasant.||It seems that the curfew is town wide, but we had not heard any of this before our arrival, and so were very happy our bus had arrived at 10pm, not an hour later - or we would have had to sleep on the street!||Nevertheless, the beds were comfortable (although the rooms weren't big at all), and it was a very cheap night, at...

The hostel advertises 24 hour hot showers but the shower (only one for the entire hostel, by the way) was only unlocked for two hours in the morning and two hours in the evening - but never the same times so you had to chance it. ||||For me the only positives of this hostel is that it was cheap and the shower, when you could get in...
