Ive recently been to this hostel and it was a terrible experience. The bathroom was dirty, the room smells bad and there is a club next to the Hostel which can be really loud at the weekend. The staff was really nice tho and the breakfast was simple but delicious. What was a no go for me is that they charged me both nights of my rezervation when I arrived, after I changed my rezervation to stay one night only, which was possible to do witout any addicional fee, they refused to give me the money for second night back. Their explanaiton was that once the money is paid, its not possible to get it back. Which is a total scam for me, because in the application of booking.com it is written that I only need to pay the first night. I changed the rezervation trusting in the application and their change policy ( it was possible to change the dates until 6 pm withou any addicional fee) and its really rude to act like they dont know anything about it. Dont recommend this place and would...
Read moreI have been spending a week per year in Cochabamba, and was delighted when I came across El Prado hotel. While the rooms are nothing to write home about, they're very comfortable after you've been in the field for a day. The pool has no water in it, or at least not when I was there, but they say they'll fill it up during the high season. ||||The service is excellent – the food in the morning was prepared for me early because I mention that I had a meeting before the normal breakfast was put out. That is a huge plus for me. ||||The two women working at reception are extremely friendly, and helped me out with a range of requests from laundry to taxi to arranging a late checkout. All with a huge smile!||||This is not a luxury business hotel, but I would recommend it for business travelers who are looking for something of a more personal nature during their stay in Cochabamba. You won't be disappointed!||||I would definitely go back, as I have many...
Read moreThe service was great - immediately responds to any requests and does everything possible to make your stay pleasant. The room is a good size - closet, nightstands, big tv, big window, wood floor, nice bathroom. The location is great if you are new to the area and want to be on a main road - you're right on it. Pharmacy is next door, lots of restaurants along the street. The first week I was travelling with a business colleague, but the second week I was there alone - so being new to the area, I really appreciated how safe it was and that I could go wherever along the strip without being concerned. Safe to walk around in the day or early evening. Breakfast is good, but simple. If you want to mix it up on some days, there's a few restaurants close by that do breakfast.||||There wasn't a lamp on the nightstand, but I'm pretty sure even with that if I had asked to have one, they would have figured it out.||||Staff is amazingly...
