Running Chaski Hostel — Hotel in Kanata

Simple, but gorgeous look and feel to the place and a block or two from a great restaurant (La Cantonata) and what has to be Cochabamba's best coffee shop (Cafe Typica). Absolutely everything about this place works and the staff--Dani, Johnny, and the rest--are incredibly inviting. My daughter kept running down to the lobby to buy crackers, or water, or whatever, simply because she wanted to interact with them.||||Do note that it's a very social place with a good on-premise restaurant and there tends to be a lot of noise, sometimes until late in the night. This didn't bother us at all, but if peace and quiet after nine PM is a concern for you, this might not work. But for it's worth, it was really "joyous", "genuine" noise, and not "Woo-hoo! Dude! Pass the beer bong!" noise.||||In all, a great stay. This place alone could bring us back...

One of the best hostels in Latin America ! We arrived at Running Chaski after a long day of buses and we were welcomed by a super nice and caring lady. She showed us around, explaining us the history of the building. I really recommend this hostel because the rooms are clean, it smells well, the beds are comfortable, there is a fully equipped kitchen and a tv room. Many places to chill with great garden and hamacs. The breakfast is included and it is delicious. There is hot shower and the wifi works pretty well. We used the laundry service and it was 20bob per kg, our clothes were smelling super good. Finally it is well located, 8 minute drive from the bus terminal. My friend and I stayed in the Running Chaski Hostal for 2 Nights. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. Since we arrived in CBBA very early with a night bus, we had to wait for our check-in. The staff let us use the common area as well as the shower while we waited. The next two nights we spent in the Toro Toro Nationalpark, to which the staff gave us great advice on how to get there and how everything works. They even let us store our bigger luggage in the hostal while we were gone.||Just in general everyone was super helpful and friendly, we had an amazing experience here.
