My wife and I stayed 4 nights at Casa do Turista. We are Americans living in Brazil so we are familiar with standards of quality and service in both countries. The Casa is indeed just that - a casa (house) and home to the owner Yuri and his parents Sr. João and Dona Rita. They are very friendly and accommodating. Be aware that you are staying in a home, it is a very intimate environment so if you like more personal space another setting might be better for you. The location on a quiet residential street is not at all in the "thick" of things though the shopping mall with food court is walking distance. The pool is small and wasn't that clean so keep that in mind if you are pool people. Breakfasts were good and plentiful. The place is a little hard to find, on arrival we recommend you arrange pick up with the Casa. Bedroom, accommodations, etc were clean and comfortable. This is not a spectacular property but a very nice and comfortable one, with a major charm being the graciousness and helpfulness of Yuri and family. Note Yuri speaks English but his...
Read moreThe place is located in a residential area of town, a nice and quiet neighborhood with a big shopping mall nearby. Was a bit hard to find the place because there is no sign on the house. It's a big house converted to a guesthouse, u get a clean well decorated room, there is one bathroom for the floor. The breakfast was very good especially the local cheese-bread. Juri helped as organize our visit to both sides of the falls and booked a tour for as to the Argentinian side for a very good price (it's 3 buses to go by yourself). For the falls on the Brazilian side It's a short bus ride to the central bus station there you change to the bus that goes to the falls, it's the same bus for...
Read moreWe (two friends and I) had a great stay at Iuri's place on our visit to Iguazu Falls. As other reviewers have mentioned, you are basically staying in someone's home, with family members around and watching TV - if this makes you uncomfortable, this is not the place for you. For us, we didn't spend much time in the house but were comfortable when we did. The breakfast was amazing - fresh pao de queijo, coffee, and a variety of cakes set out by Iuri's mother. Iuri drove us to the falls and back for a very reasonable price, and we took the short walk to the mall in the evenings for dinner. Just be sure you're ok with staying in someone's home and not...
