Pousada Tia Lucy — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de Natal

We were very disappointed and do not recommend staying here. AKA: "Pousada Tia Lucy". The accomodations were not as advertized. We were miserable. The food handling was unsafe. They did not respect Covid-19 precautions and they never wore masks or gloves. We became ill. They had large extended family gatherings that put us at risk, including a crying baby and a retarded person. The owner, was a hauty, arrogant, "cara madeira". She rummaged through our belongings while we were away and stole from us. She even bragged about going through another guest's underwear, a nice man from Poland. The pool was cloudy and made of small plastic, and not filtered adequately. We had bites on our skin, either from contaminated water or bed bugs. The bed was NOT a King Mattress (ONLY SAGGY, LUMPY, UNEVEN TWIN BEDS). The air conditioner was dysfunctional and governed at 25C or higher, thus making you sweat all night long. The noise and smell of gas and trash and fumes from sewage and outhouses directly in front of the property were nauseating. Terrible! Avoid at all cost! The owner is a thief and robbed me of $200 USD! Lucy (now called "Pousada Tia Lucy"), is a hauty, supercilious 90 year old woman with bad plastic facial surgery and poor hygeine, who rummaged through all of our things and clothing while we were away. She even remarked about how she went through another guest's underwear. She is psychologically unstable, and rents out rooms of her house with no security. She did not respect Covid 19 precautions and never wore a mask or gloves. She mishandled food, and we became ill. The bedding was horrible and not as advertized. It was lumpy, uneven, and saggy twin beds shoved together, not whole. There were bed bugs. The air was hot and governed at 25 degrees, no less. We sweated all night long in 35 degree weather. She refused to accomodate our request for refund of poor, substandard, falsely advertized accomodations. DO...

😊: Our stay was absolutely great! The location was perfect right at the beach front. The staff, Lucy and her family are very kind they made our stay very homely. The breakfast was copious, with homemade cakes, snadwiches, eggs, juices and with a lot of fruits. The common area is also very nice with the pool and hammocks.
