I was staying in this hostel in Ouro Preto while travelling in Brazil 2 years ago and again 2015/2016 and both times it was for me really meganice surprise. ||||First time I arrived a bit early, and most probably woke up friendly owner Lidiane. I liked this place in the first minute. Place is definitelly not huge, but intime athmosphere let you know other guests better, get closer to them and make new friends. Lidiane as owner is doing her best to fulfill all your needs, giving lot of valuable advices what to do, where to do, sometimes going out with their guests what is the best. ||||Goiabada com Queijo is defo not a party hostel, but if you like somehow more privacy, that´s the right place for you due the fact, the rooms are small and there is exactly so much beds, as is pleasant and no more to feel you can´t breath. Place is clean and comes together with breakfast. ||||If I go next time to OP (3rd time!), in case they have beds, I´ll stay there again. I was there 2 times especially I had feeling I came as a traveler and left as a friend, what is, i guess, the best you can experience while travelling. If I wouldn´t feel this, I´d never go to OP again, but I did. Hope, you´ll enjoy as...
Read moreThe hostel is small, clean, cozy and well located. It´s the perfect place if you wanna rest , also it´s nice that there you can share with other guests. The perfect place to make friends if you are travelling alone, for sure!||||Lidiane, the owner, she is lovely, funny and helpful. Actually, when I was there, she offered herself to take us (me and other guest) to Andorinha´s Waterfall. What a good day!!||||Breakfast: Many fruits, biscuits, cakes. However the best for me was: Bananada, Doce de Leite and Goiabada com queijo, the last one is the main dessert in Minas Gerais State, is made of Guava and fresh cheese. Actually the dessert is the name of the hostel...... Good detail! and amazing, have a go on it!||||Bathrooms, bedrooms, living and kitchen, all are clean, like home!||||Good location, because it´s close to the main square, the bus stop to go to Mariana, the comercial street and many churches. You can chill out easy in Ouro Preto.||||Don´t doubt to go there..... It is the perfect...
Read moreWhat an awesome, awesome place this is, I am so glad I picked this hostel! It does not seem like you are staying at a hostel at all, it is as if visiting a friend's house! Lidiane is such a nice person, so easy to get on with, so welcoming and she shares everything, I really enjoyed my stay here. One day it rained hard all day so everyone just huddled up watching movies, I have been travelling for nearly three years so I can't begin to describe how nice it is to be able to do something like that! The hostel was kept very clean and the location is great too, right in the middle of the lovely town that is Ouro Preto. The only down side I guess is the beds/mattresses are really narrow, but I like to spread out in my sleep so it...
