SHTN Trecho 02, lote 03||CEP 70800-200||Brasilia - df||||This is an apartment hotel on lake Paranoa . It is located close to vila planalta the original settlement where the engineers and planners of the grand project of Brasilia first stayed. This establishment is amongst a row of similar recently built “aparthotels” that stretch from VilaPlanalta to the presidents residential palace. This street has some social +boat clubs, and formal hotels like the Golden Tulip and Brasilias original Oscar Neimyer designed hotel. It is close to the Concha Acustica and the Art Gallery (currently closed for renovations)||Life Resort is close to several others similar to it and is meant for moderate length of stay in the range of a couple of weeks to a month or so. None the less many apartments in this complex are privately owned and some are permanently occupied.||||Our 48 sq M room with small veranda with view of lake, kitchenette and bathroom maid service 3 days out of seven cost BR$ 100 (roughly USD$40) per nite. Daily Rates go up for shorter stays. Rental is paid up front prior to receiving the room keys. Thus it is a good idea to carefully inspect the room before occupancy. Sometimes there are several to choose from within the same price range. It was of sufficient size for a singleton but was tedious for a couple.||||There is a small boat marina, with recreational rentals , fitness club, hair dresser, convenience shop, a good restaurant/bar, adult pool and kiddy pool, lawns down to the water, and a peer for small boats.||||Ten to 15 minutes by car to the center of the city, it is well located and makes it easy to get around if you have one! If not in possession of a car, this may not be the right place for you to stay, as taxis are a bit wearisome, you need to wait for them as they are not out front, forget the bus just not practical for a visitor to the city, and walking is too far and too hot.||||Staff are pleasant and the reception is good and the rooms are quiet. Thus this appears an excellent option for a mid to longer stay for people on business or visiting for medical and similar reasons provided that someone will pick you up or you have a car. Rental cars can be expensive in Brasilia and that cost may balance out some of the benefits of the good deals that you may find in this establishment. We had our own car so it was not an issue for us.||||On the down side the apartment we rented had not been meticulously cleaned in some time, eg the closets were dusty and the highest kitchen shelf was filthy with grease and dust only visible when you stood on a chair to retrieve an item that had been temporarily placed there. We cleaned the dusty closets with a damp cloth but the kitchen top shelf would require heavy duty degreasing that had not been done in a long time if ever. The hot plate for cooking did not have a plug adapter for the incompatible receptical (we had to buy one). The toilet seat was broken and bit your backside while seated. However, It was quickly replaced upon the complaint. These deficient items speak to an inattentive rental management. This will likely dissuade us from coming back in the future. There are many other near bye options in the moderate length of...

Read moreThis is a really well kept resort. Gated area with security, it has pools and lakeside frontage. The pool area is spotlessly clean with plenty of pool furniture of different types. |The complex houses many permanent residents as well as catering to holiday visitors. There is a bar and a pizzeria with reasonable prices. Also a cafe and a small shop. |We stayed in two different apartments here and they varied significantly so it is hard to generalise except that both were quite small. |The general area has a variety of restaurants and a couple of supermarkets as well as a variety of shops but it seemed that people from Life Resort did not generally frequent the local areas. It is very self contained. |If you don’t have a car you might find the area a bit isolated although Uber works well...
