Pousada da Carmô — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata do Recife

This pousada was a very nice place to stay and a good feature was that we had a fridge and air con in our room which made all the difference. The decor in our room was a bit dated but the pousada itself was very well maintained and tastefully decorated and kept spotlessly clean. There was a cute swimming pool, very small where you could cool off in the evening and the communal areas were very inviting with lots of hammocks where you could relax during the day or in the evening. We really enjoyed our stay here, first of all because Fernando de Noronha is so beautiful, that you just have to love everything there. But of course there were lots of other reasons!||The staff was absolutely amazing! They went above and beyond to help. They even prepared a (vegan!) cake for my friend's birthday when I asked them if there is any place on the island where I can find one. Additionally, they helped organize tours and everything else we needed!||The Pousada itself is very charming! There are a lot of nice areas to sit and hang out (including hammocks), but also the rooms were nice and comfy. The only thing that was not so great, were the cold showers, but I do think it is great that they want to help save the environment and safe water, so obviously, keeping that in mind, cold water isn't so bad (especially because it is always nice and hot outside anyways!)||All in all, I can only highly...

I went to Noronha for two reasons, to be in touch with nature and get away from a very stressful moment in my personal life and what I found there went beyond all expectations. Pousada da Carmô played a great part in the unforgetable experiences I lived there, especially the staff (Glei, Nora, Mana, Paulete, Gina) all extremely helpful and warm, the cozy, clean and nicely equipped room (with fridge and air-con), a delicious breakfast with homemade cakes, precious tips for outdoor activities (including some of the island's best tour guides), central location and, above all, a priceless feeling of camaraderie and genuine kindness.
