The Hotel Unico is conveniently located in a quiet street in the Flamengo district of Rio de Janeiro. It is an economy hotel run with family values. Don't expect 4-star luxury. Expect friendly staff who really care about their business. Went for the World Cup quarterfinals and had a hard time finding a room. This was the only place left to book a room. Location is awesome, very convenient to metro and bus, lots of great restaurants, and many activities. The lobby and staff were great, breakfast was good, but the room was not so great. They turn off the power to your room when you leave so when you get back your room is muggy and hot. The mattresses were very uncomfortable, and the ac unit was noisy and broken. A localização realmente é o diferencial, como a maioria das avaliações já menciona. Porém pelo preço que pagamos já é de se esperar que não será o melhor hotel possível. O tamanho do quarto era bom para três hóspedes como foi o nosso caso, e as camas padrões como camas de motel, no sentido de não ser a mais macia do mundo, mas também nada duro. O lençóis estavam limpos e na recepção encontramos funcionários bem receptivos. O pior, na minha concepção, é o ar-condicionado. Como o quarto não dispõe de ventilador, precisamos contar com o ar-condicionado para ter uma noite confortável. Porém o ar não tem botão e nem controle remoto. Quem liga é o funcionário que abre o quarto para você, porém ele não gela e não ventila o suficiente. Fomos em um período que não era verão, e mesmo assim tive que dormir quase sem me cobrir. Fiquei imaginando quem vai em alta temporada com o calor que faz no Rio de Janeiro, pois esses sim...
