Stayed there for a couple nights. Staff was very attentive, both at the reception and the restaurant. Good location for people who want to go shopping and dine in the best restaurants in town.|We arrived an hour before check in time and, because the room wasn't available, reception kept our bags. The receptionist didn't seem to want to do our paperwork, she insisted on doing it later, but another staff member stepped in and completed the process. We just wanted to get it over with so we could come back and go straight to the room (which happened). There was no bellmen to assist us with our 5 pieces of luggage, which is weird for a hotel like this.|We kept the DND sign at all times, so I cannot say much about housekeeping (besides that they forgot to take out the previous guest's dirty shower cap from the bathroom). |We were allocated to 1069, on the 6th floor, right across from the elevator. We couldn't hear anything- no outside noises like traffic, nor the elevator or other guests. The room was spacious, and the only complaints I have are the blackout curtains that wouldn't close all the way, and the lack of plugs. I had to unplug one of the lamps across from the bed, near the tv/desk to charge my phone. There was no USB port whatsoever. |Breakfast was included and it was delicious. The best part was for sure the fresh pães de queijo! |This was my second time in Sao Paulo staying at the Mercure, but I would not recommend Jardins. Next time I will stay in a different Mercure, as I did the first time, hoping the room facilities...
Read moreWe opted for the Mercure São Paulo Jardins for our first trip to this vibrant city to be able to walk to some of the popular destinations and to be close to the metro. It was totally worth staying there in those aspects, and we were also happy with the hotel’s service. The staff were friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet, which was included with our booking, was good and we liked the fact that they switched up the menu items a bit the second morning. The hotel is in a noisy neighborhood that was amplified by the fact that our room looked out to not one but two major construction sites. This is of course not the hotel’s responsibility. However the mold behind the curtains and in the bathroom should be. There was a moldy scent every time when we returned to our room. We didn’t realize the origin of the smell until we looked behind the curtains and saw black mold on the wall all along the edge of the curtain which is taped to the wall to keep it in place. We kept the window open as often as possible. There was also mold in the bathroom in several places, which had a window that unfortunately couldn’t be opened. When we mentioned the mold issue to the receptionist, we were under the impression that this is just part of the experience and nothing will be done to remove it. There is mold all over São Paulo. So maybe it is part of...
Read moreA very good hotel. I was staying there for a long period and I took differents rooms so I have a global experience of this hotel. The rooms are very good, and spacious, high standing. Some of the rooms had a defectious safe or shower but after asking to the reception they changed my room the next day. The only problem about the rooms is that the bedsheets arent enough warm and that can be a problem on some fresh nights, and the soaps portions are too small. The swimming pool and sauna are awesome ! The restaurant serve delicious meals (the salmon is incredible). The staff members is really kind and gentle, they really helped me for a lot of things. Everybody is so cool there and they speak english pretty well. I had a very good memory of the staff. Its well situated, easy to go by Uber or Taxi and Jardins is over all a safe place in SP so the placement of the hotel is great.
Be very careful about the minibar because it is very expensive to take something from it, a simple water bottle was 7 reais if I remember, so the bill can go up very quickly.
Globally My experience was awesome and I will came back with pleasure when I come back...
