Excellent stay in the B&B, which operates in an elegant and huge house (over 15,000 sq ft) from the 1970’s, built with the “colonial chic” style that was in vogue at that time. Beautiful art pieces, refined building materials, lots and lots of high quality wood. Social aras have several different settings, with 2 fireplaces.|Enormous external area with large pool and great vistas. |Rooms are large, well appointed, and beds have comfortable mattresses (always my concern in B&Bs). Good size balconies with nice views of the mountains and city. |Heating in the rooms is by means of portable electric devices, as Brazilian houses of that period did not have central heating. Electric mattress pads in beds. |Breakfast is absolutely delicious with several breads and cakes made from scratch at the inn.|Antonio, who runs the B&B, is super attentive to his guests. He also serves the best fondue in Campos do Jordão.|There are some wear and tear in furnishings and some areas, as bathrooms, look soneto what dated. However, I gladly trade the cheap materials and insipid grays of modern architecture for the refinement of the Edelweiss. Whoever built it had class and lots of...
Read moreWe were welcomed warmly by the Innkeeper -- she is an ex-teacher, very friendly, smart, helpful, excited about her work. The house is beautiful, airy and open and spacious, with various different common areas to sit, the interior arrangement is somewhat 1960's-70's, but in this case it works. The rooms are fine, perhaps a little small, probably because this is a private home that was converted into a Bed and Breakfast. Location-wise, it's situated a little bit away from the touristy center with all the restaurants and crowds, but close enough that you can walk up an appetite for dinner (as long as you are generally able-bodied). There is a pool, generous lawns around the house, gorgeous views from the rooms. Breakfast was delicious, lots of choices from cheese to cold cuts, eggs, fruit, bread, cake. Highly...
A casa é enorme!
Voltaremos...
