I stayed in "Dream" hotel in Bansko on the last week of February 2018.||We were a group of 7, all of them considered adults, so we hired 3 rooms, 2 of them for couples, and the last one for 3 adults.||I must make a remark that this was our second time to this hotel, and I was amazed to find out, how in only one year it can deteriorate so much.||As a matter of fact the only good thing I can write about this hotel is its location, not to far from the gondola. All other things were almost the lowest level you can imagine.||First, my room, had a terrible smell, nothing we did including smell candles improved it.||It seems to be that a sewerage ventilation found its way to the room.||You must remember that when it's freezing cold outdoors, opening a window is a limited option...||The bathroom was a joke, and a sad one. There is a small water heater that allows you less than 10 minutes of hot water and then another 30 minutes (maybe more) until the next shower. The draining of the shower had a leak, so the floor was a nice lake after the short shower. All the taps were hanging loose from the wall \ sink, the shower head was old, spraying its water in more than one direction, the soap and shampoo holder was broken and there was a place only for one towel to dry. If you want to shave, you will have to put some of the things on the floor because there is no other place in this bathroom, so this was a really bad experience.||In the living room, we had a washing machine that was not connected to anything. Just standing there. The television had not a single English channel so that there was no reason to turn it on. The WiFii service was weak, in many rooms there was a wireless router that didn't work, and when there was reception from the central hotel wifii, there were often disconnections, some of them lasted for hours. ||About the room we hired for 3 adults, the only arrangement made, was opening the living room sofa to a bed which was not suitable at all for sleeping, since there was hardly a thin mattress to separate from the sofa's wood. When we turned to the reception and asked to get a considerable mattress, the answer was that the only solution is to move to a different room for extra charge. Of course that we refused since we paid the full charge for 3 adults (not a couple with one child in the same room). Finally we collected all extra blankets we had (Total of 6), and create the mattress we needed so that after a long ski day there would a normal bed to have a rest.||Dining Room is also a weak point in the hotel.||We had only breakfast since we remembered from our previous stay that there are better options in Bansko. Yet also breakfast was not what it was a year before.||On the first day, there was no coffee but there was orange juice. From the second day there was coffee but no orange juice because the machine was broken. How hard can it be to buy some orange juice boxes? The bread was not fresh, the hot dishes were unattractable and when something was finished, refill came after request and waiting,||Last issue was the staff at the reception. Polite but not helpful in anyway.||In some cases even stubborn with no reason.||I'm really sorry about this hotel. Maybe some changes in the management brought it to its low level we experienced.||The words written inhere are aimed to create a change so the hotel will change to what it was before.||We saw on the entrance a sign from Trip Advisor giving the hotel an 8.3, I think that a...

Read moreFirst of all food was below average....Most of the food was not fresh at the dinner that the restaurant provided us,although it was at a good price. As for the breakfast the cheese had a weird smell as well as the omelette. We went downstairs to play billiard but surprisingly the billiard table was stuck many times and we had to ask them to open it so we could take the balls out!||As for the rooms there were positives and negatives. They were big enough with a decent view but horrible air conditioning, and we had to sleep with closed windows because obviously it was winter and we would get cold,so every time we woke up with headaches because of 0 fresh air, also they didnt have exterior windows and every morning they sun was right on our eyes because the courtains alone could not block the sunlight. The bathrooms and the water was ok but they left us something like 15ml soap for the head and 15ml soap for the body and we could barely open them so we had to go ask for soap every once in a while.||Only positive was the spa area where we got excellent service and behavior by Anetta. We had a good and relaxful time at the sauna/pool/jacuzzi and massage areas.||As for the worst part....We woke up our last day and before our check out they wouldnt let us go while 40 people were waiting for my room to check out because they asked from us 50 euro because the elevator was damaged and they claimed it was us who did it,imagine how hard it is to brake an elevator from the inside without getting trapped inside especially from 23 year old people like we didnt have something better to do...ridiculous!! Disgusting!!!They said it happened at 3 at night and showed us a video from the cameras of the reception at 3 at night from 3 random guys entering the hotel that weren't even us because we were asleep at 1 at night and they were rude enough to call us and wake us up.I told them gently the whole story and kept on insisting that we should pay 50 euro and they had zero proof that we did it! They wouldn't let us go and i was forced to give 50 euro as a kind of punishment....things got out of control and i gave the 50 euro so we could escape from these cheap people and go to our bus....I couldn't even find the General Manager of this hotel and no one could help me and the same woman that served me food at the restaurant was the same person asking me for 50 euros...They claimed that they took 50 euro from all the rooms of our floor whilst we were the last to check out...And they also gave us a receipt in case you think im lying i have a photo. In our opinion they purposely broke the elevator and blamed us with zero proof and the elevators were ready to break anytime and we felt it was going to break while we were inside!!||Generally i suggest you not to visit Dream Hotel as it felt like they destroyed the beautiful place called Bansko and they are not worth even 1...
