Platinum Hotel & Casino Bansko — Hotel in Bansko

I went to this hotel with absolutely no expectation. I did not read anything about it, prior to my trip. Honestly I did not care, considering the little money I paid for a 5 nights stay. Room: big enough, comfortable beds, clean, closets to put clothes, safe box for free, wifi. Only draw back was the so called balcony for which we paid 20 extra euros, but it was so small that you could just go out there and stand. Bathroom: very clean, toiletries, clean towels and plenty of them too, bathtub, water pressure so high it reminded me of a certain Kramer (from Seinfield) situation. I have no idea what kind of heating system they use, but it was so hot everywhere you went in this hotel. Restaurant: we had half board included. Not a bad deal at all. Plenty to choose from, food was little above average, but I'm honestly not complaining. I've had far worse. I'd suggest a little more variety at the desert part. Not much to chose from there. Pool&spa: go to the pool before 16:00 and you can have it all for yourself. Very quiet, pool is clean and spacious. They have a jacuzzi, the gym is also there. They provide towels and pool beds. The spa sounded good but I did not get the chance to use. Managed to try the steam rooms and turkish bath. Both on point. Bar: only tried for 1 night so I cannot really say much about it. Kind of empty, but people went to bed early to go to the ski slope (which is ridiculously close-another advantage). Staff: very polite and do their best to help. Thank you for your service! Elevators: worth mentioning only because it made me take the stairs most of the times. Both of them extremely slow and even if you select to go down, it'll still take you up before going back down. I think they should revise this. It would use so much less resources if the soft were smarter. Wifi: everywhere, less at the pool, but still present. No complaints. Pay attention to your valuables. They warn you not to leave them in your room. If something goes missing they claim no responsibility. So save yourself the pain and use the safe box or take them with you. All in all: not bad at all, I would come back in a heart beat and...

The worst hotel I've ever had the experience of living. The staff was really rude(with some exceptions of course but only 3 people) the manager was especially rude really bad manners he talked really really bad. For the facilities that the hotel offered the Wi-Fi was really slow the tv had no channels expect from Bulgarian which was indescribable. The said we were not allowed to smoke in the balcony of the room where they had ashtrays(0 comment about that) the cleaners never came 3 days that I stayed there, they never changed not even 1 towel.. The only think that I enjoyed a bit was the spa,but the pool there was cold and for the first time in my life I had to pay for the jacuzzi. But all the others (masseuse and sauna) was really good. I had a thing with the key in the room which they said that I could leave in the reception and when I came by afterwards to take it they said it wasn't there so I had to PAY to get another one.. In breakfast the waiters was always over your head wanted to take your plate even when you were not finished yet.. Finally they accused me that I smoke inside the room which I didn't and they forced me to pay 50 euros. Jesus Christ don't go there....

Nice hotel, only if hotel manager was nicer. We stayed in hotel for few days, and in the last day morning discussing with the incharge person at desk , we asked late checkout The manager said that we shall take out the luggage and when we return in evening a room will be provided for us for shower before heading home. We got back at 1700, asked for the room for shower, but the peple there said "sorry we closed all, you should go out without shower ". We asked to discuss with manager that promised us - after 20 minutes waiting (as he didnt answer the woman who called him) he answered and said he didnt promise anything. So in other words he called me a liar... We asked at least for other option to shower somewhere in spa or whatever, but he said no.. sorry no towels.. he "didnt promise towels". Seriously ?? This is a hotel manager or a cheap motel manager ? Eventually after 1 hour arguing some nice lady found us towels and we went to shower next to pool in freezing cold water ...

I recommend to think twice before accepting "promises" from manager there. Ask...
