This hotel is everything BUT friendly. My wife and I stayed there in October. We hadn't even entered the room when we were told: "There's a kitchen but don't touch it." It did not matter. After all, we weren't in Bansko to just sit in the room and cook. The kitchen itself was actually a cooker and a sink in a wardrobe. The switch for the hot water (boiler) was stuck to the wall with PAPER adhesive tape (obviously not to fall off the wall). I don't want even dare think about the possible fire. The other sockets must be held while unplugging your equipment because they they could pop out any second. There was a surprise in the bathroom/toilet too. My wife went to use it and, while I was waiting for her, there was a crash. I said to myself: "That was it - the washbasin's gone." Well, I was wrong. It turned out that the toilet seat was "fixed" to the floor with only 2 bolts (no glue whatsoever) in the middle on both sides, and when one sits on it it starts moving backwards and forwards (similar to a boat) and that's where the crash had come from. When flushing the toilet seat water starts running not only inside the toilet seat and into the sewerage but also on the floor under one's feet (not like a flood but still enough to leave a small pool).||And here's the most "interesting part":||At about 8 pm (maybe earlier) there was only one person left in the hotel - the guard (probably the only decent person from the staff - polite and helpful). When we decided to go out he explained everything to us. We came back late and probably nobody will be surprised when I say that it was cool in the room. The outside temperature was about 6 degrees. We switched on the fitted for the purpose convector heater and went to bed. In the morning we went out again. When coming back to the hotel a "lady", who is the so-called manager, immediately (even before saying "good afternoon") declared: "Excuse me, but you've switched on the heating. The heating season has not started yet." I asked her: "After taking a shower and it's cold in the room what are we supposed to do?" In reply she just shrugged her shoulders and: "It's not the heating season." Smoke was coming out from the chimneys of the nearby houses, although it was not the heating season. I wondered if the neighbours knew about the beginning of the heating season and why they weren't observing it.||We entered the room and it turned out that they HADN'T managed to clean it (it wasn't necessary - we had stayed there for no more than one hour) BUT they had managed to remove the plug of the heater in the main room. There were only two wires sticking out of the cable. Naturally, I got angry and immediately went to the lady in question, in order not to miss her as the previous evening, and explained to her that she could have just said and that would have been enough. In response... she just shrugged and... turned her back on me... not a single word - she was just standing there with her back "facing" me. Well, that was a bit more for me and declared that there were two other heaters in the room she'd forgotten to "disassemble" (not to mention that I could have just placed the wires into the socket) and added that she could just calculated the electricity we'd used and I would gladly pay for it. NO REACTION - JUST A BACK. I didn't even dare mention that my laptop had been plugged for 20 minutes. Who knows, maybe she would have said it's not the Internet season (not that there was Internet) or some other great folly. I am glad we did not take our 3-year-old daughter with us cause I wouldn't even want to think about colds, temperature, drugs etc. And the children's bed was placed in the hallway behind the door.||ATTENTION: the hotels having the name "Edelweiss" in Bansko are at least 3. I am talking about the 3-star one, located om 33...

Good for skiers , but also very good for parting. ||Our family of 4 spent the new year´s holiday at the hotel, in a big group of friends with their families too. ||We had two connected bedrooms (separate parents´ bedroom): very spacious, very clean and always warm. Comfortable beds and mattresses. All necessary amenities were available. Good noise isolation, we didn´t hear any noise although there were babies next door. ||The restaurant was also very spacious with lots of room for dancing. Nice music, drinks and home-made food, and very good service. They had vegi meals, and baby food as well. They made a baby corner for our group – a safe and warm place next to the tables with lots of toys which gave us some relaxing moments. ||The indoor parking was great too.||We definitely recommend it....
