I stayed 6 nights at this hotel set at the bottom end of the village. Whilst it is quite basic it was comfortable, clean and very reasonably priced. I was there over New Year 2014. Cost Euro 240 or 480 Levs. This was agreed by contacting hotel direct by phone and cheaper than had we booked online. Make sure you get email confirmation from hotel as we did. ||Staff were helpful and pleasant although often struggled to understand us.||||Positives...rooms serviced every day with fresh white towels provided daily or as required. ||Breakfast was included in the price. ||Beds were comfortable and not hard. ||Room and bathroom nice and clean. ||No noise to disturb sleep at night which was great. ||My room was 225 on second floor. It was spacious with lots of storage space and also had a large outside balcony.||Bathroom which consisted of shower sink and toilet was fine with plentiful hot water||Room heating was good although it was not seriously cold in Bansko during my stay||The hotel had a minibus to take hotel guests to the ski station in the morning at set times at the other higher end of village. Well worth using as a long 30 minute walk otherwise and all up hill||||Negatives||No lift so had to carry luggage up two floors on arrival. ||No male staff around to help carry luggage ||Room smelt smokey but afterwards realised everywhere in Bansko seems to smell smokey including the streets outside/as as open fires everywhere||Breakfast unexciting and all hot food sitting around so not very warm but passable just about. ||Most staff are not fluent in English so had difficulties asking for anything in English. Although one staff member Joanna did speak excellent English and was most helpful. She must be requested as she does not work front of desk. ||Swimming pool is outdoors and only open in summer||No hairdryer supplied in room, so asked at reception desk and they gave me one for room. Although it was removed twice by the cleaner which was annoying. ||||Overall the stay was more than satisfactory when you consider the price that is charged...

Read moreVisited in February 2014||||Hotel looks decent in pictures but once you get to the reception you realize what you have booked. ||||Receptionists have 0 English knowledge and would try to answer using signs. Generally staff have poor customer service skills and act rather impatiently if you are not speaking Bulgarian.||||Room is rather 2 stars and smells funky.||||Restaurant serves same things at breakfast and if you want to eat you better be there when they open. Once a tray is emptied they will not fill it up again. Coffee is bad and the orange juice has no orange. ||The person serving in the restaurant does not speak English and cant comprehend you do not speak her language so she will ask you the same thing several times in Bulgarian, raising her voice before using signs impatiently.||We booked half-board and at dinner you would get a different meal every day. Dinner was above average. One of us found hair all over her dish and we called the lady who took it away but did not bring replacement.||We've had some issues with the unpleasant way the lady in the restaurant was treating us however once we got in touch with the manager - you guessed it - she doesn't speak English.||||Hotel has sauna, hot tub, and a poorly equipped gym (4 dumbbells and a bike).||||Its been the worst hotel experience as of yet and would not return...
