Gold Pearl Hotel Sunny Beach was centrally located in Sunny Beach, just a few meters from the beach and the promenade. The hotel had a pleasant outdoor area with a pool, sun loungers and various seating areas. The hotel had no restaurant or bar, but offered free coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water and juice.
On arrival we were greeted by a cheerful and smiling employee who welcomed us and quickly informed us about the hotel's facilities. The hotel's reception is not open 24 hours a day, but we received good help from the reception when we needed it. All employees at the hotel appeared to be friendly and service minded.
The guest room appeared small, but had a nice balcony, desk, fridge, air conditioning and a well-functioning free wireless network. The bed was nicely made and appeared to be comfortable, despite the fact that the mattress was quite hard. On the balcony there was a small seating area and a rack for drying clothes.
The bathroom was simple, but practically furnished with a sink, bathtub, soap and toilet articles, as well as shiny clean towels of good quality.
The guest room was cleaned daily and appeared clean. The maintenance was also good and lived up to our expectations.
The hotel's breakfast was served as a buffet at a nearby hotel. This hotel was a real "tourist machine" with a lot of people, which led to long queues to find free tables and to get food. The standard at the buffet was decent, but had the impression of mass production and with so many people, we felt that hygiene was not taken care of to any great extent. The experience of the breakfast was so bad that we chose to eat breakfast at our own expense at a nearby restaurant. We therefore hope the hotel looks at the possibility of serving a simpler breakfast in its own premises rather than the partner hotel. This would help to improve the overall experience.
With the exception of the breakfast, we were very satisfied with our stay and we would like to visit the...

Read moreThe rooms are really small, more smaller than the owner pretend to be on the description, they also lie about the air conditioner (they don't have). We booked a double room with balcony but we didn't recive one with balcony, they gave us a room with exit in the garden, saying that "this is the balcony" (what?!).
The furniture is old, the bathroom is small and dirty (mold in the shower), uncomfortable bed and pillows, strange smell everywhere.
The breakfast is a total fiasco! We feel glad because we didn't pay for all inclusive (don't!), we had only the breakfast, but we didn't eat anything (we tried, but you can't eat there if you want to go to the beach, no to the hospital).
They serve breakfast at a so called 5 star hotel, but the food is pure poison, you simply can't eat that. The ham and bacon tastes like gasoline, the plates are dirty, they use the lowest quality products, the coffee is horrible. Yes, you have a lot of options, but nothing that can be eated. Is simply food posion, also the place is extremely dirty, that restaurant should be closed. We tried to eat there in the first morning of the stay, after that we never went back.
I really don't understand the 8+ rate this place have on Booking, it's way to uncomfortable and way to expansive for what they offer. Also we had to pay for the parking (15 euros per day/25 bgn!), the parking is not in front of the hotel. It's ridiculous to request that the guests pay another 15 euros/day to park their car when they booked a room.
If you want a nice vacation, I recommend to find another accommodation, this is the Great Horror Hotel, not Gold Pearl Hotel. The only things that are ok here: Location (close to the beach and to the supermarket) and friendly lady...
