This is a very pleasant hotel situated near the heart of the resort. The room I had was large with a very nice powerful shower and plenty of hot water. I had 2 single beds which I pushed together to make a spacious double. They are long as well so at over 6 foot my feet didn't stick over the end. It was tidied every day with regular changes of towels.||The description of the hotel however is a little misleading in places. There is no pool attached to it but I was told I could use the one at the hotel over the road. This was fine but although the WiFi at Juli is powerful and free, there is a charge for its use at the one with the pool. There was no view of the sea from my balcony, just the 2 streets bordering the hotel and the flat roof of the attached bar. Speaking of which, the extremely loud music played there went on until at least 3am and beyond. Fortunately with the balcony door and window closed the noise was reduced enough to enable me to sleep and I wasn't exactly retiring early. There is a free A/C unit but as my stay was the beginning of September it wasn't needed. There was no fridge or kettle in the room and as I need my coffee (the local ones weren't great) I bought a cheap travel ||kettle and used dried powder creamer to make a half decent coffee. None of these things would be a deal breaker and if returning to Sunny Beach I'd seriously consider this hotel again but needs to be highlighted. ||Around the location there are many bars and restaurants serving good food and drink cheaply. The main hub of the resort as far as I can gather is Flower Street, which is about 200 to 300 metres away and is the area I spent each evening of my weeks stay. Live music and tribute artists are aplenty making the desire to explore further afield unnecessary except to maybe walk off a little of my dinner before starting on the drink.||I didn't sample any of a number of nightclubs on offer in the area (I'm a bit old for that now) but apparently they can be a bit lively.||||The prices quoted in brochures and online I felt were quite high for what it offers but I booked a flight direct and got a really good price for the room from Travel Republic which made it a good deal. ||||In short then, Hotel Juli as a fine place as a base to one of the best resorts I've...
Read morePros: Great location, very close to the strip/flower street, on the way to the strip are 2 quality bar/restaurant bistro's, 24 hour supermarket right next to the hotel and pizza/doner kebab shop for those late night after club eats. Rooms were decent with tiles for 2 bed rooms and carpet for 3 bed rooms. Cons: 2 issues. Firstly, the breakfast was terrible. No quality or quantity, it left a lot to be desired. Breakfast served between 8-10am and you have to go to the reception, tell them your room number and they give you a card voucher. Secondly, from the first day Maria the cleaner came to clean the room she had it in for us, no idea why because we alway kept the room clean and tidy. She did not clean our room for the last 2 days as well replace the duvet after the 3rd day, which would not be a problem being in a fairly hot country however the beds were not great, they were creaky and uncomfortable. When we checked out we were held up by about 20 minutes because she said there was only 1 towel when there was supposed to be 3 but she never gave us 3. Stoyan (very nice and welcoming person) the receptionist was very nice and he sorted it out for us and let us go on our way.
Overall: Great little hotel, great location however breakfast and cleaners are left...
Read moreThis is my first time visiting Слънчев Бряг (Bulgaria as well) and when I do so again, Hotel Juli will be the only place I'll stay at. Besides clean, comfortable, and budget-friendly rooms, beach is less than 5 minutes away and the hotel is in the center of it all. Hotel staff is extremely nice and helpful; however, Daniel (Даниел) is absolutely the nicest and most helpful receptionist I've ever met. Daniel went far and wide beyond his work obligations and duties toward hotel guests to help me solve difficult situation I found myself in. As I had to leave earlier due to family emergency, Daniel called numerous travel agencies to book me a connecting transit via (bus, train, and airplane) contacting bus and train stations in Sunny Beach, Nassebar, Burgas, Varga and Sofia to find me the earliest, most reliable, and cheapest transit to Belgrade. Daniel called ahead and made sure to reserve the spot for me and also made sure to find me a good connection (as there was no direct line between Sunny Beach and Belgrade, Serbia). I've stayed at many hotels in many different parts of Europe, but Hotel Juli's staff, Daniel and his management deserve 10/10 rating for being so awesome,...
