We spent 15 amazing days at this hotel, which is located right in the center of Sunny Beach, so everything is within easy reach ā cafes, bars, shops, and entertainment. At first, you might think it would be too noisy for a peaceful stay, but the hotel is shielded from the hustle by other buildings, so at night the rooms are completely quiet. Nearby, thereās a currency exchange, a bank, and on the other side of the street ā a pharmacy and a shop. There are no bars or nightclubs operating under the windows of HVD Club Bor, which is a huge plus!!||The beach is just a few minutesā walk away through souvenir kiosks and a small amusement park, and you can go straight in your swimsuit. The hotel has its own sunbeds and umbrellas, and the beach is cleaned every morning from around 6:20. There are plenty of sunbeds for all hotel guests, and we never had any problems finding one, whether in the morning or afternoon. The shoreline is perfect ā the water deepens very gradually. Watersports are located just beside the hotelās sunbeds on the beach. A lifeguard, fully dedicated to his job, keeps a close watch on everyone, so we felt completely safe; many parents even let their young children swim alone.||Upon arrival at reception, we were warmly welcomed by manager Todor and Ivan. Both speak English fluently. Whenever we had any questions or requests during our stay, they always responded quickly and helped us. Interacting with them was genuinely pleasant and easy. Todor stood out for his professionalism and genuine friendliness. From the very first moment, he made us feel at ease, providing clear and helpful information about the hotel and surrounding area. ||The hotel rooms are comfortable, spotless and cleaned daily. Very friendly Bulgarian staff come around at roughly the same time each morning and do their job perfectly.||The food at the hotel was delicious and varied, with plenty of choices, including a wide selection of meat, chicken and fish dishes.. For the first time, I tried shark here ā and I actually liked it! The pizzas were amazing, the sushi excellent, and the prawns huge. The menu changes daily, so even the pickiest child will find something to enjoy.|I sincerely want to praise the restaurant manager Aleksandar ā he is a true ray of sunshine in this hotel. Always greeting guests with a smile, happy to chat, and ready to listen to any comments or suggestions. If we had a request, he immediately handled it. Interacting with him is a pleasure, and he creates a warm, cozy and friendly atmosphere. Thanks to his attentiveness, every moment in the restaurant was smooth, pleasant, and stress-free.||Itās also important to mention the second restaurant manager, Ivan ā friendly and helpful, always greeting guests, attentively listening to requests and happy to assist.||As a big dessert lover, I have to highlight the sweets here ā some of the best Iāve ever tasted! Every day thereās something new, and the desserts never repeat. A very friendly young man, Isa, works on the desserts.||Thereās no queueing, pushing, or crowding in the restaurant ā everything is calm. The size of the restaurant is ideal for this hotel. The waiters are very quick to clear tables and chairs; youāll never have to wait for a table to be tidied.||I also want to mention the waiter Asan ā incredibly friendly and helpful, working impeccably. During our stay, he shared tips on things to do and see in Bulgaria and even advised us to book the hotel directly next time instead of going through a travel agency. The ladies from Indonesia working in the restaurant are amazing ā some of the hardest-working staff Iāve ever seen.||A special mention goes to the animator Emil (aka Emo) ā a true professional and bundle of energy. He speaks English fluently and knows how to involve people of all ages in games, so everyone feels welcome and has fun. Trust me, you wonāt be bored by the pool ā he really knows how to āwake you upā from sunbathing :D Emil leads sports games, and as a former professional athlete, he can teach your child proper technique and make sure the games run smoothly. Like a real coach. You might even discover your childās talent in one of Emilās sports activities.||Overall, this hotel is incredibly cozy and heartwarming, largely thanks to the staff. They are some of the nicest people weāve ever met.||I wholeheartedly recommend it to others ā and we will definitely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis 4* hotel is graded exactly right with everything needed as a base to explore the area. ||Travelled as a family with very mixed wants/needs. 1 older teen boy who is the life and soul of the party, involved in all activities, loves the sun, shopping/fashion, up for anything. 1 older teen boy who is introvert, likes his music and his own company, and is a nocturnal night owl. Mum was a (SPF30+ be so very careful folks!) sun worshipper but no longer due to Melanoma so must avoid it, likes to swim in the pool and the sea, loves the beach, the odd excursion to see the country and soak up a bit of culture, cocktails, food, relaxing. Dad avoids the sun but likes to lounge in the shade with the odd dip in the pool and game of water polo. Happy to spend the whole holiday by the pool with a beer in hand and goes with the flow. ||||The highlight of Club Bor for us was the amazing Entertainment/Animation team. They were friendly, enthusiastic, encouraging without pressuring and just all round lovely humans.||||Food in the main restaurant was the usual buffet style with lunch and dinner offering plenty of salads, breads, fresh fruit, hot options incl meats, fish, veg, pizza, pasta, vegetarian options etc. (I canāt comment on allergy/gf/lactose etc as non of our party have any dietary restrictions.) There was even sushi one night. No show cooking or cooking to order, however there was always one meat being cooked freshly at the counter. Self serve ice cream available too as well as some beautifully presented desserts. The late breakfast, lunch and coffee/cakes at the pool snack bar was great too - lovely wraps, toasties, pizza etc. self serve ice cream available most of the day here too, Hot drinks available 24hrs from lobby bar (which is also open 24hrs) and day time hours from the pool bar. ||||Loved our rooms, the most comfortable bed in a hotel room ever. Nice touches like the bedside lockers and beautiful artwork. Big bathroom, very powerful shower (outside of shower rush hour!) with both rainfall and handheld. We had adjoining rooms, very convenient however be aware the double doors once shut can only be opened from the inside. ||||Hotel was in a great spot - very central and convenient. Bus route a very short walk away (we got the bus to Nassebar Old Town, only 2LV each, also free shuttle to water parks pass by) Lots of shops, nightlife, beach (with hotelās own sun loungers/parasols), fun fair, pubs, restarted in the doorstep. There is a āback gateā open during the day as a short cut to the beach. For transport, as well as local buses and taxis, thereās also the holiday staple āNoddy Trainā, horses and carriages, little electric jeeps you can hire, e scooters and even a water taxi from the pier across to the Old Town. ||||The hotel pool and sun bed situation bothered a few guests. There are lots of trees and shady spots, and there are lots of sunny spots too. Sunny the hotel side of the pool, shady the far side. Suited us to be shady, and it was one of the reasons I chose the hotel. Plenty of sunbeds, it did get busy toward the end of our stay and most beds were taken by 10am. It got quiet mid afternoon so always beds available then. Toilets and showers available beside the pool bar. Towels available every morning for a limited time (you get a card on check in and swop it for a towel daily, return the towel in the evening between certain hours and get a card back to swop again the next day.) ||||So many nationalities here, it was great to meet so many different people - Brits, Irish, Germans, Romanians, Bulgarians, Serbians, Ukrainians and Polish. Most common language spoken by all staff (who came from all over, many not Bulgarian) was English. ||||Would recommend a walk around the Old Town, very picturesque and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe visited this hotel in Sunny Beach Bulgaria in August 2025 as a family of 4 (with 2C, aged 13&16). I wasn't expecting much as Bulgaria was a last minute choice, booked almost a year previously but for a reasonable cost with Jet 2 holidays. We did some research during the year and felt nervous about Sunny Beach as it sounded a little bit like Blackpool.|When we went to pay the final invoice and the travel agents told us we hadnāt been booked into the hotel we chose and we had been transferred over to the HVD Club Bor hotel a few minutes away, long story short, we needed a holiday and Jet 2 generously 'waived the extra feesā (!) so we decided to go. We werenāt very hopeful as we hadnāt a clue about the hotel and a few reviews were mediocre.|Iām delighted to report that this hotel is very very good. We had 2 interconnecting rooms each with its own key, separate bathroom and balcony. We as parents were able to stay in our own room and the kids in theirs, obviously they are old enough as teenagers. The best things we found about the hotel is that its location is great. At first glance it is in the middle of Sunny Beach, about 10min walk from the beach and surrounded by the local bars and noise. We thought the noise from the funfair which is very close, might stop us sleeping. But it did not. After about 11pm every night the noise switches off as the fair closes. Great sleep!|The other thing that is worth knowing is that unlike most beach hotels this is small enough to not have an issue with sunbeds. We were amazed to spend a day by the pool and found plenty of good location sunbeds available about 11am. Then the next day when we went to get ones in an even better location, having spotted them the day before, we found there was no problem and plenty were free well after midday. Sunbed reservation was absolutely not required, which came as a lovely welcome surprise. Free pool towels every day too!|The buffet is good, with lots of choice, for kids and for health nuts ā plenty of cheese, fish and veg and fruit and the good old chicken nuggets and chips and gravy etc. Over at snack bar by the pool a ālate breakfastā is served at 11am and then is open for pizza and burgers at midday, with biscuits, fruit and ice cream later in the day. There is an a la carte restaurant once a week which serves a 5 course Italian menu, which was beautiful with very posh wine glasses. The all inclusive bar is also very good with really good cocktails served and I even found a blackcurrant cosmopolitan cocktail in a nearby restaurant and the staff at the hotel were happy to make one when asked. Wine was good and was replaced daily in the in-room fridge. The local beach has the hotelās own sunbeds which are free and the beach is good (no toilets unless you pay though), although the sea was quite rough.|I also tried the fish pedicure which was 5 BGN or about Ā£2.50!! Weād also recommend a Jet2 trip at night to Khanās restaurant which is a great night out ā good food , stunning location and good entertainment.|Overall my only complaint was not the hotelās fault and that was the pool was very cold when you first got in but that could be down to the high summer temperatures. Once we got used to it, it was fine and the entertainment staff were really great, organising regular activities like water polo and crafts for the younger kids.||Overall a really really great hotel and one weād go back to!!!Look out for the fab help yourself coffee and hot chocolate machine at the 24/7 bar and at the pool bar|The McDonalds and KFC in Bulgaria are very expensive (eg Ā£20 for a big mac meal and Ā£10 for a happy meal) as not many...
