First with the positives: the location is very good - close enough to the skiing, yet cozy in the wood. The room was big and there was kitchenware and a fridge. It was warm. WiFi was sketchy and worked only in parts of the room, but it was enough. ||What I didn't like at all was the breakfast. There is a limited a-la-carte choice: 4 very slightly different variations of English breakfast, an omelette, bread with topping or pastry. There is tea and coffee - no juice, no water, no yogurt, little milk. I had to buy cereal for my son (very picky eater) in the supermarket as there was no cereal or cornflakes or anything of the kind on the menu. Not even fresh bread - it was all toasted. ||Another complaint about the breakfast is the timing: it starts at 8am and the slopes open at 8.30am. There is absolutely no way to get to the skiing on time, especially if you wish to use the gondola do go to the top (perhaps 15 minutes walk in ski boots). Since it is not buffet, if you get there at exactly 8am, and order almost immediately, you get the food at 8.20 at the earliest (once they forgot our order so we got it at 8.45). A start at 7.30 would solve all the problems.||Finally, after finishing breakfast the first day, I was told that the amount I paid for the room includes only 2 breakfasts, and I have to pay for the boy's (he didn't even taste anything of the order). Neither when I booked nor when we got to the hotel nor when I ordered the food I was told this (actually, this is the first time I visited a hotel with such a policy). It's totally nonsensical.||As a final thought - yes it is cheap and perhaps good value for money, but I am not sure I'd...
Read moreWe went in February this year. At arrival we were immediatley welcomed and made to feel at home. Our room was exactly what we wanted, a separate room for our ourselves away from our 2 children. With the size of the dining area you end up saying hello to all of the guests. The bath didn't leak as with most Bulgarian hotels. The way to the skiing area is a little hike of about 5-10 mins which is good to be away from the noise of the evening, but weary at the end of the day. With hindsight we would have hired the skis at the slopes and left them there in the evenings. We would definitely stay there again if we went...
