Guest Rooms Cheshmata — Hotel in Veliko Tarnovo

One star because "0" stars doesn't exist. Made a reservation on Booking, they accepted the reservation and on the day of the check-in they send a message to inform us that they don't have available rooms for that day. I asked them to cancel the reservation so we won't pay the cancelation tax since it was not our fault that we won't stay there. They never did that so I asked the cancelation without tax on Booking. They never answered to that request, instead they said to Booking that we didn't show up at the reservation. The truth is that they didn't received us at the property and they didn't assume their fault. Probably that's their way of doing business, accept reservations even if they don't have rooms available and on the day of check-in they inform the client they don't have rooms available but they don't cancel the reservation so they take the tax late...

Arbanassi is a nice place with traditional guest houses and hotels. Hotel Cheshmata has spacious rooms (especially those two form the garden), it is clean and quite,with good Wi-Fi connection. Breakfast is poor (by comparison to other Bulgarian places). You must choose from three breakfast menus, but you cannot find what means each one of them (only when see it on the table), because only a boy knows English. The other persons of the staff were a little bit unfriendly (especially a girl with no smile). But if you want to see Veliko Tarnovo Castle, it is a good choice to stay there and take lunch and dinner in...

The hotel - tavern Chesmata was an excellent choice!!! In the centre of Arbanasi, close to everything with extremely friendly and helpful staff. From the waiters to the cook. Excellent food, great atmosphere, clean rooms and restaurant areas, comfortable beds and good price. There is free wifi everywhere around the place. What else could you possibly wish!The village itself is beautiful. There are a few very old churches worth the visit. Some of them with the most beautiful murals.
