Very noisy, zero soundproofing. Poor placement of the central pool, amplifying the noise even further. Gangs of youth congregating on the building site next to the hotel on the weekend and being loud, setting fires so you can smell the toxic smoke in the rooms. Nobody bothering to enforce some noise rules - lost a nights sleep due to the room above being very noisy, constantly moving chairs and furniture and kids screaming at 3am. No hand towels, only bath towels provided (unless you ask). Some electric sockets not working. Hair dryer didn’t work, had to call in reception who brought a special electric adapter to make it somehow work (faulty/wobbly socket). Hookers on scooters right in front of the hotel entrance in the evenings. The aircon doesn’t seem to be working or working efficiently, struggles to cool down the room and constantly on at max power. Shower water pressure very low, water mixer faulty so can’t adjust the water temperature properly. The breakfast selection was somewhat disappointing as well, although the taste of the fried rice and omelette was good. Could continue… The only positive are the staff which are helpful and trying to help. My tour operator (a famous big worldwide agency) will be hearing about this as well. I know it’s Cambodia, but I’m think this is bad even for...

Pool is large enough to get a few kicks in. Pleasantly designed area with deck chairs. Very friendly staff. And housekeeping is very prompt. Breakfast options include fruit, breads and toast and some cooked foods including rice or noodles, baked beans, sausages and freshly cooked eggs - fried, scrambled or omelette. Dining area is very relaxing with views of the pool. We had the ground floor room near the pool. The reflective one way windows offer privacy. No hand towels and only 1 short bar above toilet for hanging towels. The water outlets on the floor under the sink and shower weren't draining fast enough and we ended up with a very wet floor. Room needs more hooks, hangers and towel rails. Considering this is a 4 star hotel I expected better. There were 2 hangers on arrival but they were both defective in one way or another. Great location. Only 10 minutes walk to Pub Street and 3 minutes to the best Spa...

Great location, not far to walk to pub street, markets and great cafes and spas.

The rooms are good. Best feature was our balcony overlooking the pool. The shower facilities were okay. Rooms only come with one card so you cannot leave items charging whilst you’re out as power will be switched off. When you get in have a lay down and request extra pillows if you need them BEFORE nighttime. When housekeeping go home for the day, they cannot access the store room to provide extra pillows, blankets etc. Overall a good location and pretty quiet at night.

Breakfast was okay. You can have omelettes made fresh at the buffet. Workers here are very professional and friendly. Front desk are always happy to help and assist their guests.

I recommend staying here for a no fuss stay close to the main strip...

Decent hotel, lovely atmosphere. Cambodian breakfast - bread/toast, omelette, jam, etc (not continental) They have a decent-sized beautiful pool 1.2 to 1.5 m to relax in and benches. They will serve you food there too if you wish. Food portions are very small and not very tasty. Makes me laugh that they have Christmas decorations up in the middle of summer. The host says it is to make the guests feel welcome -honestly, Grand Bayon you’re amazing without it, please, please take it down and put them up ONLY during the month of December. They are close to ATMs, pharmacy, pub street where you can get food, souvenirs etc. I’d still recommend it. All of the rooms have access to a balcony and decent wi-fi and TV, and beautiful bathrooms.
