LOVELY, WONDERFUL, UNIQUE B&B INN and FIRST-RATE INNKEEPERS! The Blackwood’s Bread and Roses Inn, for so many reasons, was the absolute favorite stay during our travels through Nova Scotia in July 2025. The warm hospitality and personalized attention of the kind, helpful and friendly Innkeepers; the unique historic property that was both grand and cozy and meticulously clean; the fairytale rooms with luxuriously appointed comfortable beds that provided a tranquil and restorative escape at the end of the day; the generous and delicious homemade breakfasts; the very well-cared for peaceful and picturesque settings; the secret garden; and, the thoughtful touches throughout our stay made a lasting positive impression on everyone in our travelling party. Absolutely thrilled with our stay at Bread and Roses Inn in Annapolis Royal! 🌹 Jodi and Mark are the epitome of fabulous hosts, bending over backwards to make sure every guest feels like royalty. The gardens and landscaping? Simply incredible—like stepping into a fairytale! 🏡

The house itself is immaculate, thanks in part to their daughter Sofia, who clearly knows her way around a cleaning cloth. 😘 I even checked for dust under the beds during my workout, and found none—impressive! 💪

Breakfast was a delicious and plentiful feast that left me eagerly anticipating each morning. The location is perfect too—everything is within walking distance.

An older style house, well cared for and maintaned for the most part. Because its an older conatruction there are a few crooked nooks and unlevel floors. Our bathroom was very clean but what seemed like a modern and recent shower upgrade was a bit cheap and out of place withbthe rest of the house. Cheap feeling plastic panels that were not firmly attachef to the walls and it felt like you might fall through the floor as you moved around the shower and it creaked and groaned. The shower upgraded with nice tilework would fit better with the quality and devor of the rest of the house. The owner was pleasant and we felt taken care of while there.
