I picked this motel to stay at for my trip to Montreal during the eclipse event. You see, I am an ocean swimmer back home and this is one of the very few places I found to stay at that was near the water. Unfortunately the water wasn't very good for me to swim but I guess that's beside the point.. || When I arrived late at night when no one else was around, the first thing that greeted me unfortunately was a massive massive smell of cigarette smoke in my room. I will fast forward and say that I did not complain but learned to live with the smell after opening the windows the next day and running the fan for many hours to help reduce it. At the very end of my trip I mentioned the issue to the fellow at the counter and he seemed emphatic that I should have let him know right away to move me. Fair enough.||The physical space inside the rooms is quite nice. It's definitely been renovated well. The lighting unfortunately is super bright led, which I am not personally a fan of. But fortunately there are side lamps beside the bed and I brought my own bulb to take care of that. Not all hotels have these options anymore.||Locationally speaking, yes it's a little bit farther than I thought from Montreal downtown. But only because I was relying on the mass transit system which although is really good overall in Montreal when you get further out the timings become a little bit less often. C'est la vie.||Finally, I was challenged by the level of noise both from the rooms around me and from the traffic. There just isn't much sound insulation. But as the fellow at the front desk pointed out, for the price on paying for a motel this is pretty damn good. I'll...
Read moreI recently had a stay at this motel, and I must say, it was far from a pleasant experience. While the motel itself seemed decent, the safety and security of guests left much to be desired.
Late in the night, I had to endure excessive noise from a group of rowdy guests who were drinking and smoking right outside my room. Politely asking them to keep it down only led to aggression, with them attempting to enter my room and even damaging the door.
I called the police for assistance, and they advised me to leave my room for my own safety. Even after my departure, these individuals pursued me with a car for several kilometers, which was an absolutely terrifying experience.
I write this review not to vent, but to ensure that others are aware of the safety concerns at this motel. While the motel itself may have potential, management must address security issues promptly to prevent such incidents in the future. It's crucial that guests feel safe and secure during their stay.
I hope my experience serves as a warning for others, and I genuinely hope the motel takes the necessary steps to ensure the safety and well-being...
Read moreWhile in the process of our nationwide cross country round trip, this was a place that stuck out quite a bit and worth a review. I’d give it a zero star if it were possible. We didn’t even get the chance to stay at this place as the idiot who answered the phone was so rude right off the bat before I could even ask if he had any rooms, it was a good thirty seconds of him being a jerk, repeating himself and talking over me. I cut in after not getting a single word in and asked what the hell his problem is. He attempted to hang up on me...which he failed because you could hear him continuing on with whatever it was he was doing and said “fcking btch” very clear and very loud, it was no mistake. I had 3 of my family members in the vehicle with me while this call was placed and we were all just so speechless and dumbfounded the level of attitude and problem this guy had. I’m not sure why he bothered to answer the phone in the first place because he certainly didn’t win my business. It’s like some people don’t realize that customers are what pays their bills, ah well, I’ll let karma...
