BLOOD AND BUGS IN TOWELS and Walls. In July I rented a room here for my brother who was just released from the hospital with a concussion in +30 weather. I was driving in from out of town. Needed the room for 4 hrs just so he had somewhere out of the heat to sleep until I could pick him up as he couldn't drive home with his concussion. The room was not clean. Towels had dried blood and bugs in them. Bathroom had old moldy cigarette butts under the heater. stairs were crumbling away and a huge tripping hazard. Tried to talk to management about the issues and they said, "We clean the rooms. They are clean" I tried to point out that they weren't and they then accused my brother of bloodying the towels and the cigarette butt and the bugs. He had a concussion, no open wounds of any kind. Nor did he use the towels. The shower curtains, lightswitch and over everything was dirty with either bloody or questionable grim. I don't think they actually understand what cleaning is. Requested to see their health inspection (which you can ask for) and they said I had to email the request. I did. Waited a month with no reply. I do not recommend staying here. It's actually a health hazard and safety hazard. also he checked in at 8:34 and was out by 3:00pm the same day and they still wanted to charge us 110 with the terrible accommedations. They "Graciously" only charged us $91.64 for any inconvenience. Also if you are going to speak a Hindi related language to badmouth the customer to you friend on the phone, make sure they don't speak Hindi first. I may be white but my husband aint lol.

Price was right. Pretty spartan room, but we only planned on sleeping here. It's a bit rough. Not much in the way of furniture. One office chair at a desk like thing and a bed side table. Cable didn't work but didn't use it anyways. Quiet bar fridge, coffee and a microwave. Beds were good. No pillow selection but they were decent. Covers were nice and soft. Our room was quiet, but my brother's family was in a room beside a busy street and it was loud he said. Woman who checked us in was fun. Bathroom was nothing fancy. Door was broken and walls show a bunch of damage. No carpet in room. Think we were in the side they were still renovating as my brother's room looked better. His had some DIY construction work. Not professional, but adequate. They also house some long term tenants. They are housed in the quiet old part of the motel it looks like. Right where we were. One rough looking resident lit up a big joint right outside our door as he was next door. The other we met was entertaining to chat with and off to buy a bottle of vodka. They were very low profile and no noise at night. We stayed a Friday and Saturday night. We brought a collie sized dog. Dog park is a bit of a walk, but neighborhood is nice and Scott's motor Inn has a nice patch of grass below it. Seems our dog prefered it. No worries about damage in the room by the dog (not that she would) and desk clerk charged half price for dog. Probably because we were in the skanky part of the motel. Fine by me!

We reserved our stay for two nights. Walked into our room which looked somewhat clean. Unloaded our cooler into the fridge and spilt water on the floor so I continued to clean it up to find that my paper towel was black, full of dirt and hair. I spoke with the employee at the front desk and asked for our floors to be cleaned properly. The lady came in with a broom, dry mop and squirt bottle. She tried pushing the dirt out the door which ended up with a pile infront of the door, squirted the floor and quickly moped it. I asked the employee at the front desk, If the floors were dirty, what else was?! So I went back and pulled the bed apart and sure enough the duvet had no cover on either bed. Just a top sheet and bottom sheet. The duvet was yellow, had blood stains, other bodily stains and what looked like possible food. Both beds were like this! I demanded my money back to which they did but before that asked me if I had stayed in there. I checked in an hour prior with him and for half of that I sat outside for them to clean the floors. I was disgusted with the rooms and service. I’m thankful I received my money back but I honestly don’t know how they can operate with such dirty rooms and show no remorse.

WE WERE LIED TO. DISGUSTING SANITARY PRACTICES – DON’T DO IT. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE||||Read on if you want to hear some details. Or scroll to the bottom for quick summary||||…and this is not exaggerated. I am a blue-collar worker that has stayed in some shady places before but this one will provide me with memories (PTSD).||In town for a large event over the weekend. No more rooms anywhere in town that I could find.||Arrived Friday evening. Other families in our group already there and on their balconies warning us of how their rooms were gross. BAD urine smell. Gross hair all over their room. Fecal matter still on the seat. Someone prior must have been in a hurry and missed the target?||Another family, same thing- hairs everywhere. Another girl “ruined her new socks” – dirty and hairy on the bottom.||||I checked in. Looked at the room and yes, LOTS of hairs in ours too. Substantial amount along the bottom edge of the tub at the floor. Like a handful lot if you would dare to touch them or Swiffer them. Pulled the burned and stained comforter down. Blood, I think? Maybe chocolate? What do you think? Pulled the burned blanket and sheet down as well. Much better – barely a dozen pubes here. Swept them off by hand.||Repeat for bed #2. Same TLC from the housekeeping staff. Pubes.||Return to front desk requesting another room and had a look. Very similar. I am pleased to report that the amount of hair along the floor at the tub was about ¾ as bad as our first room, but hey somebody else’s pubes are somebody else’s pubes, right? I’ll stay with room number 1 since it would likely be quieter and requested some housekeeping for it.||Him: “NO sorry. There is nothing we can do”.||Me: “Hmmm, really?”.||Returned to room #1 to settle in. Began to clean the bathroom. The top of the toilet had a substantial amount of hair and dirt – yes, I said the top – not the sides and hidden curves – THE TOP.||Found a bottle of disinfectant cleaner from our vehicle. Bathroom, floors, all high touch surfaces, window and mirror smudged with kid like sticky hands but at a full-grown adult’s height and hand size – the white cloth was dirty brown/grey and rinsed multiple times. Sorry Rodeway staff, but we didn’t clean the microwave that looked like spaghetti sauce exploded in it – we drew the line at cleaning pubes and mold off the window sill.||Shared OUR disinfectant cleaner with others from our group.||Returned to the front desk expecting to negotiate some sort of reasonable good business adjustment to our rate.||Him: “sorry, nothing I can do. Speak to the manager in the morning”. Next morning, I go to speak to the manager,||Her: “I’m not the manager, sorry nothing I can do, the manager is on holidays.||Me: “Yeah, I figured I was going to get that kind of response. Please contact him and also include the other families with our group”||Her: “I will. Come back later before I’m done at 3pm to discuss”.||I returned,||Her: “The manager will reduce your rate by $40 per night for each family”||Me: “Ok, still not happy with the practices but that sounds very fair. Since you charged me for both nights at check in, can you please credit my card now?”||Her: “No sorry I’m not able to do that. You’ll have to come back after 3pm and have the afternoon manager do that”.||Me: “And you’ll brief him fully on all of this for all in our group for $40 per night off totalling $80?”||Her: “Yes”||||By now we’re hearing from others that a smoke alarm was missing from their room with a vacant connection. Another room had a plug with half a broken electrical faceplate. Anyone think these could be fire hazards and public safety concerns?||||I returned after 3pm for some refund. Guess who? The first guy I spoke to.||Him: “I cannot give you your refund right now. It will be applied at checkout and you will be given $40 off for the night”.||Me: “You mean $40 for the first night + $40 for the second night?||Him: “No. Just $40 for 1 night”||Me: “NOT what I was told. Now someone is lying to me”||||Sunday checkout. We all got a $40 refund. CC statement to be confirmed but the refund receipt indicates it. Don’t think we’ll get anywhere on the other $40 we were told.||||GM / owner (your name and public profile occupation are not difficult to find):||1 - I first and foremost challenge you to repair the safety hazards for your future guests||2 - I challenge you to clean your rooms to satisfy health and sanitary obligations||3 - I challenge you to go good on the remaining $40 for each in our group||4 – I am not interested in a copy / paste reply as you have done to other reviews and that you are “sorry for the experience and will do better at our next stay”. Guess what, there won’t be another stay. But I would accept a response of some sort that you have at least read and acknowledged this review||||||Summary:||1 - This bad review above||2 – Report to Fire Dept||3 – Report to public health at municipal and provincial levels||4 – Report to Better Business Bureau||5 – Report to the Kamloops...

Canadas Best Value Inn & Suites Kamloops BC |STAY AWAY! The name does not remotely represent what you will receive! Unfortunately, everywhere else was booked so I booked via my cell phone with the reservations employee who spoke limited English, very difficult to understand. |Number one turn-off! |To the owners of this establishment, you should not be permitted to use Canada or Best Value as part of your name! What a disgrace! |The hotel was located in a questionable neighbourhood, the parking lot was not cared for nor was the upper level walkway. Filthy and unkept. Loose garbage left on the steps that led to the upper level! |Upon arrival we didnt need a card to enter our room; the door was already unlocked and open! Great security! Door jam seems to have been damaged for some time! The door wouldn’t lock when we exited the room until the third try! |Inside, unbelievable! Greeted by an old smell due to improper cleaning, old age and a desperate call for complete redecorating. The bedroom area floor was newer laminate flooring but they forgot to do the bathroom. |The furniture was ancient, chipped and outdated! The window couldnt be opened for fresh air and the tired, black, un-pressed cotton drapes were older than the building. The phone wouldn’t connect to the front desk but lo and behold the Wifi actually worked in our room! The beds were hard , no waste basket, no facecloths. We didn’t even try the coffee maker, made me shudder. The air conditioner did provide cool air but one never knew if it was going to fly off the wall! The bathroom was revolting! Vanity held up by 2x4’s, floor filthy , hair on the walls of the shower, my hair is short and silver , my husband is bald so….! We shared the bathroom with a wriggling black creature! Sorry no photo, I stomped on it. Sink took forever to drain! Another shuddering moment! |These are just a few details of this horrid room|Check out the photos .|How this place received any rating at all is beyond me! Obviously, they did not stay in room 219. And for this we paid an unrefundable $173.11, otherwise I would have demanded a full refund and ran not walked to the nearest exit! NEVER EVER AGAIN! 🤑|Is there not any supervising body across Canada that demands compliance and inspections regarding hotel cleanliness, prices charged and aged and damaged decor |If it is possible I would rate this hotel 0/10. |As I stated...

What I will say is facts: We reserved a room back in early July over the phone. They never sent any confirmation email, even before we arrived we requested confirmation. Upon arrival, the FD lady (same person who did our reservation) offered us a different room right away but did not say why, she wanted to give us another room. Nonetheless, she said for 2 days and we agreed. We reserved a king size bed. When we entered the room, it reeked like an ashtray. You could tatse it. Appalling. My husband requested to switch rooms immediately. The "new" room had the same smell but lesser... the decor and room setting was sad. We told ourselves we're here for our event not this "hotel". They also would charge us the same rate as a lesser room (king to queen). Whatever but shady behavior. The next day while inside our room. Someone entered the room but saw our stuff, immediately apologized and left the room. Went to the FD. Being furious to see the hotel acting so carelessly about our safety. We overheard people convos after arriving but the FD couldn't "find" the emails of reservations so they wouldn't honor the rate promised. We talked and than left without thinking about anything more of it other Plthan never coming back there, EVER! We received a phone call while at our event from the FD asking when we were going to leave? Bewildered by this. We said we have reserved the room for 2 days but they kept repeating of no confirmation email present. But we're already here they offered us the room at a $100 more than the agreed price. When we came back to handle this issue. The FD was saying it was in their right to overcharge us because they were a business. We told them that they should be ashamed of themselves. We called all around the town but everything was book ed and forced to accept it. They baited and switched us. A horrible place to stay by our experience. Their standards are deplorables. Would never recommend for anyone to stay there unless, well you hate...
