We booked a room in this facility months ago for a youth sporting event. I checked into a suite with kitchen to find it dirtier than any other hotel I have ever stayed at. The smell of cigarette smoke was strong enough to give me an instant headache. We had the doors open for hours, no change in the disgusting smell. I removed two full garbage cans of food, mostly meat, most unwrapped and loose from the fridge and freezer. My 14 year old son went to get into the pull out couch bed and found cigarette butts and narcotics under the cushions. When I called the manager I was told there is no house keeping. There were no rooms available to move us into until the following night. I insisted on the mess to be cleaned. The night manager came with a vacuum and no cleaning or disinfectant products. I ended up having to help clean the room. In doing so we found more cigarette butts, narcotics and food under the couch. This manager told me I would not be charged for the night. The next morning I requested the new room and wanted to ensure it would be ready when we returned later. The day manager told me I needed to understand that there are three levels of government involved in this type of issue and the previous guest suffered from mental health issues. (Social housing homeless contracts, construction crews and fire victims are how this facility likes to earn their money, families and non junkies beware) I stopped him and told him none of this matters as his staff did not clean the room and my minor child found narcotics in his bed. I was told I would be charged one night at the rate on the regular room. The next day at checkout I stated I felt there should be zero charge for the two nights. The manager said one night charge is all they would do. I told him to I would contact the management later. One week later is see a full charge for the suite and regular room. I called and the desk manager told me there would be no credits and I can call whomever I want to fight it, including legally. This facility clearly has no care for their guests safety. Next time, I would choose under the bridge next store over this absolutely filthy government housing project.

Boy, this is a hard one to rate. I may change my rating several times as I write this. We paid just over $110/night so the value was there. The rooms were updated although very poor workmanship as I’m sure the bid went to the lowest bidder to do the work. Mismatched lamps, holes in the finishing, drywall cut too big for the bathroom fan, forgot to install the door lock etc, just made it hard to appreciate the room to its fullest. The sheets were on the cheaper side and the pillows as well. Air conditioning worked well though, although those older units are loud(which I like due to tinnitus) a nice size bathtub and a fridge definitely helped the rating. The breakfast was hot but prepackaged eggs and cheap sausages only go so far when served daily. The space for breakfast is also VERY small. The deck and balcony were both amazing! We utilized these spaces often! There are BBQ’s for use and ample table space to sit and enjoy the salmon jumping in the river. The pool - For the price I want to give a 5*. But the hot tub smelled like soup that’s gone bad and I got out as fast as I got in. This was the grossest pulic hot tub over been in. The water was tinged yellow/brown and STUNK! If you’re planning on using the pool hot tub, take a second thought. And to management, change the water or do better maintenance. Service was done daily but not once was the bed remade. I don’t need clean sheets, but it’s always nice to come into a freshly made bed. Lots I could complain about but price is reflective of the hotel.

The room was pretty poor. There are burn marks on the couch, electrical covers not on, burnt outlets, unfinished cabinets. The bathroom door doesn't open and close fully without running into the shower rod. The microwave is plugged into an extension cord and the outlets for the kettle and coffee maker don't work. Even the fire extinguisher was due to be rechecked 7 months ago. It seems like the room is a fire hazard in the making. When we told the front desk person they just said "sorry about that" but didn't do anything about it and didn't seem to care. The unit beside us had a sink left on one of the two chairs on the deck and they had to ask for it to be removed. Parts of our coffee pot were missing making it unusable. The breakfast was reheated eggs and sausages, bagels, toast, cereal, oatmeal packets, juice, water, coffee, some fruit. The front desk attendant was also running the breakfast. When it got busy, we were stuck with no eggs or sausages, no coffee, no forks, and no mugs until they were done assisting people checking in and out. There is a pool and a hot tub but we opted to stay away from the building as much as possible for our 2 night stay. The balcony on the rooms have 2 chairs and there is a large TV in the room. Only 2 pillows on the Queen size bed and no spare pillows or sheets in the cupboards. Overall, very disappointed with this place and will not bring my family back here again.

We booked a month in advance for our sons sporting event a room with 2 queen beds and a kitchenette. Upon arrival we were told that someone was to have called us to tell us that our of room was not available. We were offered a room with "3 queen beds" and a kitchenette instead for the same price. When we went to our room there were 3 large twin beds, not queen beds, lined up side by side like the 3 little bears. The room was old and in need of renovation , furniture looked like it was from 1995. The mechanism to turn the shower on in the bathroom was just hanging from the wall with a large hole in the wall and pipes showing making it impossible to take a shower. ||Back to the front desk we went to advise them. They offered us two other rooms , both "1 bedroom suites" with a kitchenette. The first unit smelled like cigarette smoke so we took the next one they showed us. It was like someone placed random furniture in the room with no practicality. A round kitchen table with no chairs placed next to the coffee table , a room telephone sitting precariously on the armchair of a high back chair in the corner. There was 1 fork , spoon and a knife in the drawer for utensils. The microwave was filthy and you could see where the dust stopped and started from the vacuum marks on the carpet. No bedding or pillows for the pullout couch , back to the front desk at 10pm to have them try and find some. Potato chips in the couch cushions.......etc etc. Did not dare take my shoes off the whole time.||We tried to sit in patio area but there was so much dust on the table and chairs , someone did come and clean them after we asked. And there is definitely not an Infinity pool there as the website states!||7 other families with our team stayed here during the same time with similar experiences. Dirty rooms , towels were not replaced by house keeping , sub par breakfast. One family left after seeing their room which had ants crawling in the bathtub , lost their money and went somewhere else to stay.||Several conversations were had with the manager asking for a reduction in the room rate only to be told there was nothing they could do and were told they were doing us a favor by upgrading us to a 1 bedroom suite. Upon checkout they did reduce the 2nd and 3rd night by 30.00. |||The Inn is under renovations but is in such disrepair everything looks so dirty and run down. For the price we paid , $239 per night it was a complete rip off and...

The staff are so incredibly friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable aside from the bathroom door and walls. They need a wipe down along with everything else daily due to humidity and dust forming yellow streaks that run down the walls and door. Our first room was a kerfuffle, both while booking it and upon entering it. First we saw a price of $64 online and they tried to charge us $89, but eventually dropped it down to $69, but a bit disheartening they wouldn't honor the online price. They were busy when I was booking our room, and the woman asked to call me back for payment details but assured me she made the reservation, but I didn't receive a call back after about 5 hours unfortunately. When I called the inn to make sure everything was good, she couldn't find any reservation for us, and asked me to come in to sort things out. Got that all sorted but once we got into our room there was no fridge which was a must ofr for us, and we had to be switched rooms. Sadly the fridge in the 2nd room wasn't even plugged in which we had to do ourselves and took quite some time to get cold. There was only 1 extra pillow and for 2 people that 1 along with the 2 on the bed just wasn't enough. We couldn't find a happy medium with the heat, it was either freezing or boiling hot it seemed and all evening and day long we could hear what I'm assuming was their washing machine going and spinning which was loud and obnoxious. Both ladies as dealt with were amazing and so friendly and apologetic, but if was quite frustrating to say the least. Not things you want to deal with when staying somewhere while out of town. But, we eventually got to sleep, and the bed was super comfortable and the bedding was clean and crisp, and aside from not having a 2nd spare pillow and a 2nd roll of toilet paper because ours was down to the last little bit, it wasn't terrible overall. Lots of frustration but tons of comfort and great hospitality. We've stayed here before and loved it, and next time we work in Kamloops we plan to stay here again....
