McCracken Station Pub — Restaurant in Kamloops

Great neighbourhood pub with friendly staff and has a nice patio for warmer months. As well it can also accommodate large parties. Best to give some notice as it's generally fairly busy. Has plenty of TV'S to watch the game, as well as a decent-sized bar if you just want to stop in for a couple on the way home. I guess like everything these days the price is starting to get steep, but I would be inclined to say that really about everything, be it food, gas, these days groceries are near the cost of eating out at times. Other than that, it offers your usual pub lotto games (IE, KENO, virtual Poker I think they have pull tabs as well but don't hold me to that. While the menu isn't anything different than your everyday sports bar the food is good with some interesting items. Definitely a pub that's been around a while and have learned how to keep things consistent. Making them one of the most popular sports bars in Kamloops year after year. Which isn't an easy feat. It also has a liquor store right next door all connected to a large free...

Don't Hold doors for folks entering Mckracken. Push your way thru. I made the mistake of holding a door for someone and allowing them to go first,. The result ? They got food I didn't. The kitchen magically closed between the time they entered,l and I entered. How is this possible you ask ? If only I knew the answer, but an appropriate solution is to not hold the doors for any one. Push your way to the front. Confront the waitress when you walk in, shouting "We're here, wer're here, like Horton hears a Who. . Anything, but don't be second in line. You may lose out. After all, I arrived at 9:53:10. Had I arrived at 9:53:05, I would have gotten food. But alas, all these lessons will be lost on me, because, I will never risk being dissappointed again...

We visited the pub for dinner on a Sunday after playing slo pitch. It wasn't very busy, and it appeared only one server was working inside. We were promptly greeted by bar staff, but it take a few minutes to get menus and drinks order from out server. He was alright. Notified us about the specials when requested. We ordered caesars, which were good! Then the burger that was on special. It was really good! A classic style burger, excellent bun. It was nice because it wasn't to big! The sweet potato fries were perfect. If you like coleslaw that is a little bitter (vinegary maybe?) you will like the slaw, but if you like it a little creamier... I recommend the sweet...
