My stay in this hotel was a nightmare. After I took my shower I realized there was no hair dryer in the bathroom nor in the room so I called guest services to borrow one, after not receiving it I called again and I was told there should be one beneath the sink, I assured her there was none and even came up and looked for it herself. She told me would try to get one for me and after a while I called back and she told me that her manager said it was in the room for sure. I asked her his phone to speak with him myself and in a very rude manner Mr. Dharmesh Patel told me that I robbed it for sure because he inspected the room himself the night before my arrival. He also told me would make somebody to check my car and my belongings. He came to the hotel and up to my room , he called me a thief and made me empty my suitcase in front of him. My daughter was frightened and crying. At this point we decided to call the police. After the police came we ended up paying for the missing hair dryer in my bill with the hotel commitment of refunding it to my credit card once they verify the surveillance cameras and do the investigation of their staff. Obviously I have no confidence of this happening. I think that to accuse somebody you have to have proof of it. Is not the money, I can understand companies policies regarding missing objects but the way Mr. Dharmesh Patel treated me and my family was incredibly humiliating. Worst experience in a hotel I ever had in my life. Companies should verify “managers” have the skills , proper training and criteria to deal with this kind of situations. The language and attitude this manager had for a client were completely unacceptable. I do not want another family to have the same experience we had. If you have an option don’t risk your travel experience...
Read moreWe chose this hotel based on reviews and availability. When we walked up and saw a rainbow business sign on the door, we thought we had chosen wisely. Unfortunately the staff person proceeded to assume that I was a man, and then that my wife must be my mother, clearly lacking any awareness of lgbt people in her worldview, which soured our check in experience. Once in our room (216) the fridge was so noisy we unplugged it and the shower handle was broken. Having come in from hiking and wanting to shower to check for ticks before we relaxed in the room, the fact that it took more than half an hour for the person to come and see the problem was frustrating. Once we were switched to another room, our stay was fine. The fridge in our second room (205) was quieter and the shower worked fine. Had we been offered any compensation for the inconvenience, we might have rated this higher. Without anything more than an I’m sorry, the most generous rating I can give this hotel is an average. We also found it a bit weird that the pamphlet display cases contained information about attractions in places like Ottawa and Virginia, rather than any local tourism options someone staying there might want to know about. The highlight of this hotel was that it was clean. For these reasons, I wouldn’t recommend or not recommend this hotel to others. However, if a friend was thinking of staying there, I would definitely tell them about our experience so they could decide for themselves if they wanted to stay...
Read moreBooked the accessible room with roll-in shower, king bed. Shower had no lip or threshold, so truly a roll in shower. Bed is not too high. Carpet free in room. Carpet in hallway. It’s a standard room that has been remodeled, so it’s a bit tight, but manageable. Long narrow entryway needs a power door opener. Not enough space at foot of bed to access windows, curtains. Hard to reach light switches and outlets. As a full time wheelchair user I would not be able to navigate the room independently. Didn’t notice any braille, or silent alarms for those with visual and hearing impairments but I wasn’t really looking. That being said, I am glad to have a room with a roll in shower and accessible features that I can book when I am in Leamington. It should be standard nowadays with AODA, but sadly isn’t. Kudos to Quality Inn Leamington for stepping up.||Although not mentioned on their website, it serves complimentary breakfast from 6am-9am. Sandy was really helpful in the breakfast area. He was very attentive, asking if we slept well and required anything. Noticing I needed help getting breakfast, he asked what I wanted and brought it to me. He also suggested local points of interest. He was as attentive with other guests as well, but not overbearing, or intrusive to those who prefer solitude first thing in the morning. It’s great to see someone who has such pride in their work and passion for...
