We stayed in an Executive One King Bed room for 3 nights in August 2024. We paid a good buck for the room, $204 plus tax per night for a total of $703.80. We were a bit surprised that room amenities for this fee did not include a microwave, which we rented for an additional $10/night. Oh well.||||My wife is disabled with mobility issues, so we were relieved to see 2 disabled parking spots close to the front entrance. This worked well for us, we appreciated the short walk into the building. We were reasonably happy with our visit until the last night. When we returned from our evening meal, we noticed that a single compact vehicle had entered the parking lot from the wrong direction and was occupying not just one but both disabled parking stalls. (See our photo.) We reported the vehicle to the front desk and to our surprise they were aware of it and refused to do anything about it. The vehicle apparently belonged to a regular pub patron who was consuming his usual evening meal and drinks. I was told I could park anywhere else in the parking lot, just not in the disabled spots. They were unwilling to ask the regular pub patron to move his improperly parked vehicle so that 2 elderly folks, one of them disabled, could use the designated stall to which their disabled sticker entitled them. Incredible! Probably illegal as well. ||||So the moral of this review is simple: if you’re disabled, you can pay $204/night for a high-end room and get a healthy dose of disrespect in return. One regular pub patron has far more rights and privilege at this establishment than two disabled parties. We won’t be back, and in our humble opinion, you...
Read moreShe's a tired old bird that's starting to smell old and mouldy, really useless experience with room service, after waiting 30-45 minutes after ordering I went down to the in house bar and was told that they had "got really busy!" which tells me that my order was passed over for others and that it would be another 10 minutes. I looked around and saw only one other person sitting there which means a whole bunch of people came and went in a period of 30-40 minutes?? In the meantime I should talk to the manager about how under staffed they were, this was also relayed to me by the front desk. In all it was just over an hour waiting before they called to say my food was ready, and I had to go down for it again. Again I was told to "please" talk to the manager, however there was no attempt to reconcile the wait time, no attempt to discount the cost...and she still got a tip...all in all not a very good representation of a catering environment, no one was accountable or even had a clue as how to accommodate a situation such as this, and why was I being passed over to the manager, it's not my job to train staff on how to perform in the catering industry. I was very disappointed and annoyed but at no time was I bad mannered, I was certainly abrupt and closed and didn't wish to engage in their "poor me" scenario. When the food was ready the fries were truly soggy, the batter on the fish was very over cooked, very dark and also very soggy which indicates me that it had been sitting under a heat lamp for quite some time. I'll be advising my company to take their...
Read moreWish there was a ZERO star. Will NEVER be staying here again. I'm actually surprised how are they even in business with the attitude they show towards guests. This was our first visit to participate in my Son's hockey tournament over 2 days from Fri, Feb 21 - 23. Here is a list of things that ruined our experience. 1. The Hotel entrance has a pungent smell that doesn't go away 2. The reception staff have no customer service skills. It felt like they all have taken a special course on passive-aggression. Just at check-in, it felt like the were scolding my son like he was suspected to burn the hotel down. And that too while I was right there vouching that we are rules abiding by nature. 3. They have zero flexibility and not accommodating at all. After a long journey from Vancouver, we couldn't check in a couple hrs early to rest. The response was "we have strict instructions from the Manager to not check anyone in before 3 pm even if the room is ready". Really? Wow! Have some compassion towards young kids who might have a game to get ready for in the evening, and could benefit from some rest to energize. Just an hour before regular 3 pm check in time is all we asked for. Cookie Cutter approach is bad business sense 4. Housekeeping was a disaster! All she did was replace the towels. Did not make the beds, empty the trash or vaccum. Save your money and look elsewhere! My honest recommendation is to stay away from this hotel unless they get their act together and take all this feedback seriously to make improvements with their attitudes towards...
