Hôtel St-Germain Rimouski — Hotel in Rimouski

We were passing through Rimouski on our way to Gaspesie and stayed 1 day at Le Saint-Germain hotel. The Hotel was clean and well situated. However we did not sleep well as 1 of the room's windows had a curtain that was not properly hung (it was hung with nails into the wall and let a lot of light in). There must have been a neon sign at night that reflected through the five holes (meant for a curtain rod) and kept us awake the entire night. It was like a light on in the room the entire night. I complained to the front desk in the morning as she said that they were aware of problem and that they should have not rented the hotel room (501) until it was fixed. I asked for a discount (as the room was not cheap) and she said the manager would call me to discuss. He called the next day and I explained the problem with the light...he said he would go and have a look at the room and would call me back. He never did call me back. This was unprofessional. The building is not that attractive from outside but inside is nice especially front lobby. The hotel is old but has been somewhat renovated (not all the parts for example the bathroom not renovated but the kitchen was amazing). Elevator is small/old style.||The beds were comfy and nice. The place was clean and quiet. Close to restaurants. Easy to get to and free parking. Breakfast was 2 small danishes, 4 pieces of white bread, 2 yogurts, 2 cheese sticks, 2 packs of pate, butter and jam. It was okay. ||Might stay here again as location was good. ✨Parking lot behind hotel is in bad condition (asphalt) and is visually unappealing. ✨Customer service was good and our worker spoke good English and was helpful. ✨Self-serve wine machine was cool and my wife liked it.
