Well where do we begin? Do we start at the decor of the room? which is exactly the same as it was when the place closed down for years? Do we start with the disgusting state of the room in general?? Decisions decisions.||On entering the room,you are immediately struck by several things.1)The carpet is so old,that Noah possibly had the same on the damn ark.2)The corners of walls are showing bare metal in places.3)If unlucky to have room 431,you will find the a/c unit held in place with expanding foam and not much else.The excuse they gave us was and I quote.."It was Summer so we were to busy to get the work done" Really? I doubt you could fill this place unless there was a Junkies Convention in town,because unless anyone made a mistake like us,then nobody would stay longer than one day in this hovel. Strangely enough,we had a meal in the Restaurant and whether it was a fluke,we don't know,but the food was actually very good.||Meanwhile back to the Hotel itself. The cleaning staff seem unable to pick a tray of used plates off the floor,as when we arrived there were two just outside the prehistoric elevator on floor 4 and were still there,despite being informed,24 hrs later.||The toilet dripped constantly and even had rust stains down the rear of the bowl,the bath tub had a broken hook,the walls are covered with such sharp plaster-work,that if you tripped,which is high;y possible considering the state of the ancient carpet,then you will rip your skin to the bone.||So in summing up. Wir sind als "Walk-In-Gäste" in das Hotel gekommen und konnten uns auch ein Zimmer im 2. OG anschauen. Wie wollten ein Zimmer mit Blick auf die Bucht. Uns wurde ein anderes Zimmer mit "voller Aussicht" gegeben, was aber 20 Dollar mehr kostete (dafür war das Frühstück inbegriffen). Wir vertrauten dem Hotelpersonal und nahmen das Zimmer ohne es nochmals anzuschauen. Was soll ich sagen... Uns wurde "volle Aussicht" verkauft, aber vor dem Fenster waren mehrere Bäume. Man konnte zwar rechts und links etwas von dem Wasser in der Bucht sehen, aber ich würde solch ein Zimmer nicht unter "voller Aussicht" sondern eher mit "Teilsicht" verkaufen.||||Das Zimmer war - dank der Klimaanlage - gut zu beheizen und es war sauber. Die Kissen waren sehr hoch. Das sollte evtl. berücksichtigt werden, da nicht alle Menschen mit hohen Kopfkissen schlafen können.||||Beim Check-In haben wir auch zwei Gutscheine für zwei Getränke zum Essen im hauseigenen Restaurant erhalten, also sind wir dort essen gegangen. Vegetarische Spaghetti mit Bolognese-Sauce? Da passt doch was nicht. Wir haben uns dann für eine spezielle Variante mit geschmolzenem Käse entschieden. Was ok war. Der Service hat etwas gedauert und das Ambiente könnte gemütlicher sein.||||Die Zimmer sind auch sehr hellhörig. Wir hatten zwei Zimmer weiter einen Hund, der - sobald seine Besitzer weg waren - unaufhörlich gebellt hat. ||||Am nächsten Tag sind wir also voller Erwartung zu dem Frühstück gegangen - und wurden enttäuscht. Es gab ein paar aufgeschnittene Früchte, Croissants, French Toast, Rührei, Bacon, Würstchen, Bohnen und Kaffee. Nach Saft (es gab nur Orangensaft) und heissem Wasser für einen Tee musste man nachfragen und es wurde irgendwie auf dem Gutschein verrechnet (war aber trotzdem gratis). Auch nach Toastbrot mussten wir erst fragen, da es schon die längste Zeit aufgebraucht war. Immerhin sind wir satt geworden, aber ich fand den Preis nicht ok. Wäre das Frühstück nicht inbegriffen gewesen in unserem Hotelzimmer, hätte ich sicherlich keine 10$...
