This was the second worst hotel I have ever stayed at, and second only because the first worst hotel had bedbugs. We didn’t check in until after 1 am and were out the whole following day, so it wasn’t until the next night when we got back to the hotel after midnight that I discovered just how filthy this hotel and our room really was. I pulled back the bedding to find the mattress stained with who knows what spilled on it and hairs under the sheets stuck to the mattress cover. Yuck, but not completely disgusting yet. Shortly after I dropped something on the bathroom floor which rolled under the vanity. When I looked under the vanity, there was garbage, including an old pizza crust and empty water bottle, and months worth of built up dust and hair. I went straight to the front desk and let the girl there know, who offered to move us to another room. I agreed provided she guarantee the next room would be clean. It was over half an hour later before she came to our door to move us and by that time the other person with me had fallen asleep and I was long past ready for bed as it was now 1:30 am. I told her it was late at that point, none of it was her fault (poor girl felt horrible) and that I’d just speak to the manager the next day. I spoke to the manager, Norman, after breakfast the next morning and told him how dirty the room was and he advised he’d have someone clean it. Someone did come clean the bedding and replaced towels, but still did not clean under the vanity. I let Norman know, who said agin he’d have someone clean it. I had to ask again before it did finally get cleaned. I was then out again for a few hours while my son had a nap. I picked up some drinks upon my return to the hotel and went to put them in the fridge which is when I found a nasty, old defrosted breakfast wrap in it. I took it straight to the manager, Norman, who immediately became rude and defensive. He tried to insist I speak to my “children” about it as it had likely been them. Well I had one “child” that was with me staying there and he’s 23, so no, it was not him and we’d only been at the hotel for 36 hours at that point having flown in on the Thursday. I finally had to walk away from him and his rude, defensive arguing and said just have someone come clean the dirty fridge (who did and wiped all the old ice from the tray out onto the floor for me to clean up, thanks). The whole room was filthy. Windows and window tracks, ledges, bathtub edging , light plates, you name it. This room hadn’t been properly cleaned in many months easily and I took and have a bunch of pictures to prove it. Will absolutely never stay there again and advise anyone else not to either. The manager refused to provide any sort of discount or compensation for the experience. I do NOT include the restaurant in this review. They are separate from and not affiliated with the ownership of this hotel. The restaurant has friendly, helpful, attentive servers, and is a typical White Spot. I should also note the two front desk girls were friendly and tried to help, but are clearly limited by what...
Read moreWhere do I begin? This place was terrible. First of all, there are stairs immediately after getting off the elevator which isn’t convenient for people with luggage or a disability, so it’s important to know that. My room number was missing outside the room. When I opened the door, I found the tv on, and it was cold. The curtains were closed so I moved them to find the window was actually wide open, without even a screen! This was late in the evening in the middle of Sept, so it was well below room temperature. You’ll probably have to see all the pictures attached to see everything wrong with this room. It seems like they cut corners and just said “good enough”. Here is a list of things I noticed:
The next morning, breakfast took a very long time even though we were the second order of the day. I’d say around 30minutes. I don’t eat meat so I asked for toast and hash browns, and I ended up getting sausages thrown in with them.
This was definitely a negative experience, and I don’t think this comes close to living up to other Days Inns. There was a little sign that said it was individually owned and operated so it seems it is just licensing the name to get business off their reputation. This place was more of what you would expect from a cheap motel in the...
Read moreThis place is filthy and overpriced. There are better options in town. Not really sure where to start. The first thing I noticed was the stained bedding...which they changed immediately when I informed them....though I'm not sure why anyone would keep, let alone put, that on a bed that costs $150 per night after tax. The management/owners should probably spend some time on self reflection....not really sure where they get off charging this much. It's an overpriced dump. I would be ashamed to run a business this way. Place needs to be renovated or at least deep cleaned and discounted. It looks and smells run down and dated. The bed was comfortable...after there was clean bedding applied. Didn't get a shot of the stained sheets because I left the room as soon as i saw it. Bath tub is tiny and pointless unless you're 5' tall...same goes for the shower head which could use some CLR...also isn't properly secured to the wall of the shower. Hot water runs out fairly quick. The whole place looks like it was drunk renovated 20 years ago. Sink is partially clogged and takes a long time to drain. The one night stand and lamp is pointless and not plugged in because the nearest outlet is farther than the chord can reach. Any edge or surface that is the least bit hard to reach or out of direct sight is filthy....except the window which is just filthy and not hard to reach or out of sight. Nice view of the mountains out the dirty windows. The complimentary breakfast at Whitespot was pretty good. Wouldn't ever consider paying to stay here again. Really poor standards overall. Hope they can do better moving forward because I certainly can the next time I have to...
