I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cafenara, and it was a delightful experience that left me satisfied and impressed. This cozy hideaway offers a welcoming atmosphere and serves delicious food, making it a great spot for a relaxing meal. While there were a few areas that could be improved, overall, I would rate my experience at Cafenara with a solid 4/5.

Cafe/pastry order: Iced americano, caramel macchiato, tiramisu, blueberry cheesecake. The coffee has a rich, roasted, full taste! No sour after taste. Both of the pastries were really good and not too sweet. It looks like they have different specialty pastries/cake every time, which is nice. Definitely way better than other “trendier”/“newer” places in Terrace.

Brunch order: special chicken bowl, pad thai, pomegranate raspberry homemade iced tea. Hubby liked the special chicken bowl; a karaage-type chicken with mayo, teriyaki sauce topping. The pad thai looks like a popular dish in this place, but it was mediocre-tasting/does not taste “authentic”… The noodles had a strong starchy smell and taste, and the sauce looked pale. I also wish it was served in a bowl for easier eating/mixing.

Atmosphere wasn’t the best; it looks like it’s a fusion between an old restaurant and a cafe (maybe they’re in the process of updating?). They had a lot of spots to access plug-ins so it was nice.

Would definitely visit again for the coffee...

Disappointing service - friendly and polite in general but had a strange experience with one of the staff:

I ordered a pasta lunch that comes with garlic bread. I was informed by a staff that they burnt my garlic bread; they'd have to make it again and let me know when it's ready - which was totally fine with me. After waiting for half an hour, when I was done my pasta, they didn't even think of telling me the truth until I asked again, and their reply was, "Oh. We burnt your garlic bread again. Is it okay if you don't have your garlic bread?" (word-for-word quotation)

The staff wasn't rude, and I honestly didn't care about the garlic bread. I also didn't mind mistakes, even when it's made twice in a row. But to be asked if it's okay to not have a part of the meal that I paid for because of their mistakes? That's just really strange. This may not be representative of the cafe's service in general, but I really suggest a better...
