Tofino Retreat — Hotel in Tofino

Set your alarm to sunrise, click on the Cimbali Jr, and pull yourself an amazing shot of espresso. Take your coffee and sit on the porch as the sun fills the sound while the fog dissipates. Designed, milled, and constructed by the host, Adam, Tofino Retreat is a work of art. The wood beams with floor to ceiling windows perfectly blend with the wooded waterfront lot. The furniture and hand picked decor create a warm and inviting space that leads to several porches. The fire pit is the perfect place to convene after a day of adventure. And then head to the hot tub for a night cap. Adam and Hugs (his dog) are superb hosts, full of recommendations and stories about Tofino (he prefers Pilsners hint hint). Just returned home after an amazing stay at Adam’s Tofino Retreat. Came here with high expectations from the reviews and photos and boy did he smash those expectations. No only did he lend us his stand up paddle boards at no extra charge, which we launched directly from our backyard deck, he even invited my folks on a crabbing excursion. Even his dog was very friendly and hospitable. Adam was warm, helpful and responsive. He lives onsite so I’m sure we could have gotten immediate attention should we need it (we didn’t as the house was perfectly stocked), but his living quarters are completely separate and non intrusive.

We’ve stayed in numerous Airbnb and vacation rentals around bc and abroad, and none came close to the level of luxury and thoughtfulness here. The place even had chopsticks!

Tofino Retreat is that perfect mix of modern but welcoming and warm. It is the kind of place you see in a magazine but Adam has luckily opened his home to visitors so that we can experience what it is like to live in a Westcoast dream home! And we can't say enough about Adam's hospitality and the location of the home. It is a quick 10 minute walk to the beach (that includes towing two toddlers!) but tucked away on the inlet side so you get to see both sides of Tofino.
