So this place was located in with our hotel. It had some phenomenal food, great atmosphere, and a laid back vibe to it. Let’s talk about the food and what we had:
1 piece Cod and Chips 2 Baja Fish Taco 1 Bowl Seafood Chowder
Fish and Chips Great flavour. Super crispy batter but not greasy. The tartar sauce is TO DIE FOR! LIKE...”THE KING IN THE NORT!!” TO DIE FOR! The fries were good. I don’t know what all the other reviews were talking about. They weren’t amazing, but not bad at all.
Baja Fish Taco Good flavour, nice crispness on the fish. It wasn’t Tacofino amazing, but still good. Maybe a little to much cabbage, if I was being picky, but it was still good.
Seafood Chowder Fantastic! Great texture and tons of seafood. Good thickness and fantastic flavour!
Like all food in Tofino, it’s pricey, but this place is worth it. If you’re planning on visiting Tacofino, then don’t get the Baja Fish Taco from here. Get the fish and chips and more chowder, cause it’s worth it. Everybody behind the stall was super friendly and laid back.
A must-visit...
Read moreIt’s a pretty convenient location situated in the middle of all these resorts. With two covered fire pits and a handful of uncovered ones, there were plenty of seating available. Staff seemed really cheerful and helpful. One thing I really liked was being able to bring my dog without hassle. However the food was a bit on the ehh side. I ordered the cod taco and it seemed like a winner at first glance. Large piece of cod and plenty of stuffing. But it was odd how my bite was dry yet dripping with moisture; it wasn’t as flavourful as it looked. My husband has a cod burger and he said it was not too bad, a bit on the salty side. Our son had the chicken burger and it was overdone and the fries were limp and a bit tasteless. However, I appreciate having food so close to where I was staying but for the price I’m indifferent about going back, especially since there are some great restaurants within a...
Read moreI first want to say thank you to the kind waiter who took my order and gave my pup some salmon skin. I came here during non peak season and was expecting fresh food, great flavor and good chill vibes 🤙🏽.
Saying this I really wanted to love this place and I tried the highly recommended fish and chips. I had 1/2 cod and 1/2 salmon. I unfortunately was disappointed by the lack of flavor in the batter and it was I think more on the panko was more on the burnet side. The chips were soggy and the person who took over the first waiter/ gave me my food was snarky and rude. I have lived in London, Australia etc and honestly have had better fish and chips from Blaine,WA. Maybe it was a fluke for me, but I don’t think I will be coming here anymore during my yearly visits to Tofino. There are other places on the island and in the city of Tofino that have better food, better price points and...
