We were disappointed with Wild Pacific Ocean Front cabins. We booked and paid top dollar for a 'luxury" ground floor suite cabin, which turned out to be one room in a fourplex 'cabin'. We thought Ocean Front meant we'd have at least a glimpse of the ocean. But no, the 'Wild Pacific Ocean Front' cabin instead overlooked the placid back bay inlet, which one could wade across at low tide. And even the glimpse was obscured by the trees. And there was no access to the water from the cabin. The 'suite' was described as 'luxury', yet it was a long way from our experience with luxury elsewhere. We had only a small bar height table to eat our meals from. One of us had to sit on the bed while looking out the window or watching TV, as there was only one chair. The advertised 'fireplace' was, to our chagrin, neither wood burning nor gas burning, but electronic-- it burnt nothing apart from, perhaps, a few pixels. On the positive side, the room was clean and comfy, with the kitchen well stocked with cooking implements. The spa was hot, but not entirely private, as guests of neighboring cabins shared a view of our deck and tub. It would have been more luxurious had the spa motor, which requires cycling 24/7, had been placed other than the immediate other side of the wall from the bed. We know the spa motor has to run, and guests must tolerate a certain amount of noise because of it. But the design of having the bed within a few feet of the motor seemed preventable. We will return to Ucluelet and the remarkable beauty of the area, but not to this...
Read moreWe spent 4 days here in the Wild Pacific Suite while visiting Ucluelet, and really enjoyed it.||I thought the cabin was great - rustic, cozy, and comfortable, with everything one needs, and a lovely hot tub to boot.||My husband found it a bit dark, given that the cabin faces onto tall trees, so the sunlight was blocked to a certain extent, but I imagine that in the summer, that will help to keep the cabin cool and comfortable. He also found the loft a bit small, with the slanted ceilings, but I thought is was perfect for sleeping.||It also seemed to be quite clean, but my feet were gray on the bottom after walking barefoot for a few minutes, so wear slippers! :)||Other than that, given the price, I thought it was great value.||Yvonne was just lovely - so friendly and welcoming, and interesting and fun to talk to, and full of recommendations. She totally enhanced our experience :)||I would recommend these cabins, and would be happy to...
Read moreHave just stayed here in cabin A for 2 nights. Firstly Yvonne is a fabulous host, easy to contact and the cabin is spotless with all amenities. |Bed comfy, heating and electric fireplace and an outside area. In this area is an old hot tub which is looking rotten and is not in use. There are massive windows from the sitting room to outside. Unfortunately, there are no blinds or curtains for this window which makes no sense. On our first night we were sat on the sofa, it was dark outside and I got a fright as the neighbouring guests were at the window lost and could see in completely which didn’t put me at ease. Maybe there is a reason for there being no blinds but also when you when to walk by the windows to get to and from the bathroom and bedroom it would be so much better to ensure privacy. |Aside from that the stay was perfect, lovely location and we often saw deer right outside. |Each cabin has...
